We are one Snap-on team.\nSnap-on Elizabethton, Tennessee is seeking CNC Operators to manufacture the best professional grade tool.\nPosition Summary: Set-up and operate, in a safe manner, any and/or all machining, automation and polishing equipment within a production cell. This will include all quality checks per the control plan.\nResponsibilities\nKEY TASKS\n\nMeasure dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates and fixtures.\nRemove and replace dull cutting tools\nMount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and workpieces on machine, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.\nListen to machine during operation in order to detect sounds as those made by dull cutting tools and adjust machines to compensate\nAdjust machine feeds and speed, change cutting tools or adjust machine controls when necessary.\nStop machine or remove finished workpieces or to change tooling according to required machining sequences\nCalculate machine speed and fee ratios and the size and position of cuts\nCheck to ensure that workpieces are properly lubricated and cooled during machine operations\nSet-up and operate computer controlled machines or robots to perform one or more machine functions.\nConfer with supervisor or programmers to resolve machine malfunctions or errors.\nMonitor machine operation and control panel displays\nMaintain machines and remove/replace broken/worn tools\nClean machines as needed\nStack/load finished items into containers\nSet-up future jobs while machine is operating\nAll individuals must be flexible to rotate within any ratchet body cell.\nMeet and also exceed required productivity levels\nSupport and adhere to all 6-S and TPM requirements. Wear the proper personal protective equipment distributed and approved by the company.\nPerform other duties as necessary.\nPerform all necessary quality checks per the quality control plan.\nFlexible to work overtime is required.\nSupport continuous improvement\nMeet and also exceed required productivity levels.\nQualifications\nREQUIREMENTS\nHigh School diploma or 1 to 3 years manufacturing experience.\nLevel 4 CRC Preferred\nAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide decimals and fractions. Work from drawings, specifications and formulas involving limited detail.
