As the Applications Engineering function continues to grow, this individual will have the opportunity to take on increasing leadership responsibility and potentially grow into an Applications Engineering Manager role in 1-2 years based on abilities.\nThe successful candidate will be both a technical problem solver and a trusted partner to customers, helping them successfully implement Mountz solutions in real world manufacturing environments.\nResponsibilities\nKey Responsibilities\nCustomer & Applications Engineering\nProvide hands on technical support to customers throughout the sales, integration, and post sales process.\nTroubleshoot complex fastening, electromechanical, and factory integration challenges.\nSupport customers with application design, product selection, configuration, and implementation.\nParticipate in customer visits, demonstrations, trials, and technical presentations.\nSupport the integration of Mountz products into manufacturing work cells and production environments.\nIdentify customer needs and translate them into practical technical solutions.\nServe as a technical escalation point for complex application issues and train sales on the solution.\nTechnical Expertise\nApply knowledge of fastening and assembly processes to solve customer manufacturing challenges.\nTroubleshoot and support systems involving:\nPLCs and factory controls\nElectromechanical systems\nServo motors and motion profiles\nIndustrial sensors\nPneumatic systems and logic\nMES and work-cell controls\nSoftware and communication protocols\nAssist customers with process documentation, system configuration, and implementation.\nEnsure solutions meet applicable safety, quality, and compliance requirements.\nCross Functional Collaboration\nPartner closely with Sales to identify opportunities and develop technically sound solutions.\nWork with Product Management and Marketing to communicate customer needs, application trends, and competitive insights.\nProvide technical feedback to influence product development, usability, and serviceability.\nCollaborate with engineering and development partners to ensure Mountz products integrate effectively into customer factory environments.\nCreate and contribute to application notes, technical documentation, training materials, and demonstrations.\nContinuous Improvement & Team Development\nHelp establish and improve Applications Engineering processes, tools, and best practices.\nContribute to the development of technical training programs and onboarding materials for future Applications Engineers.\nShare technical knowledge and mentor other engineers as the team grows.\nIdentify opportunities to improve the consistency, scalability, and effectiveness of Mountz's customer-facing technical support.\nGrowth Opportunity\nThis position is designed for an application engineer who wants to grow beyond an individual contributor role.\nAs the Applications Engineering organization expands, the successful candidate will have opportunities to:\nTake ownership of strategic applications initiatives.\nMentor and train newer Applications Engineers.\nLead customer integration projects and technical programs.\nHelp establish Applications Engineering processes and KPIs.\nTake on increasing responsibility for team coordination and development.\nPotentially grow into an Applications Engineering Manager role as the organization and business needs evolve.\nPrior management experience is not required. Demonstrated technical leadership, initiative, communication skills, and the ability to develop others will be highly valued.\nQualifications\nQualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.\n5+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, fastening, assembly, or a related engineering environment.\nExperience integrating equipment, tools, or devices into manufacturing or factory systems.\nStrong understanding of:\nPLC systems\nElectromechanical systems\nServo motors, motion profiles, and controls\nIndustrial sensors\nMES systems and work-cell controls\nManufacturing processes and documentation\nStrong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.\nExperience with fastening and assembly processes strongly preferred.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work directly with customers.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nDemonstrated interest in mentoring, technical leadership, and career growth.\nPreferred: Professional proficiency in Korean or Spanish.\nWhat You'll
