This position may operate conventional and CNC equipment, EDM drill equipment, and other machining equipment as assigned. The Machine Operator follows established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards to ensure products meet specifications.\nCURRENT 3rd shift Work Schedule is Sun-Thurs, 10pm - 6:30am; OT as needed (Voluntary and/or Mandatory).\nResponsibilities\nOperate and monitor assigned machines and manufacturing equipment.\nPerform basic machining operations such as drilling, cutting, grinding, milling, turning, and other related processes.\nOperate CNC equipment, including loading/unloading materials, starting and monitoring machine cycles, and making basic adjustments as trained.\nOperate EDM drill equipment to produce holes and features according to established specifications.\nRead and follow work instructions, drawings, specifications, and routing information.\nUse basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection equipment to verify part dimensions.\nPerform in-process and final inspections to ensure parts meet quality requirements.\nIdentify machine or product issues and make appropriate adjustments within established guidelines or notify a Lead/Supervisor when assistance is needed.\nLoad and unload materials and parts from machines safely and efficiently.\nPerform basic machine setup and changeover activities as trained.\nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.\nComplete required production, quality, and inspection documentation accurately.\nFollow all safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.\nAssist with troubleshooting equipment or process issues and communicate concerns promptly.\nPerform other duties as assigned\nQualifications\nHS diploma or equivalent\nPrevious manufacturing, machining, or machine operating experience preferred\nBasic understanding of machining processes and manufacturing equipment\nKnowledge of blueprint interpretation including geometric tolerancing\nKnowledge of manufacturing including post (secondary) processes\nGood planning and organizational skills\nAbility to use basic measuring and inspection tools\nKnowledge of various types of machining centers and machining practices\nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools\nDemonstrates aptitude towards technical understanding and growth\nEffective communication skills (written and oral as well as the ability to interact with coworkers and other associates)\nAbility to comprehend oral and written instructions and execute those instructions accurately and timely\nFamiliarity with continuous improvement processes and ability to communicate improvement ideas to managers is a plus\nMust be dependable and willing to adjust schedule and workload per business demands\nMust be able to work independently and in a team-oriented setting.\nExperience in fabrication or welding is a plus\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, reach and perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
