You’ll be joining a team responsible for global platform laws, AI, privacy and product counselling.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nAdvise on global platform laws and regulations with a particular focus on the Digital Services Act and the Online Safety Act\n\nBuild relationships with regulators and other regulatory stakeholders\n\nManage Requests for Information and support on regulatory investigations including coordinating with internal colleagues and managing outside counsel\n\nAnalyse and advise on legal and regulatory requirements for new products, services and technologies\n\nWork with legal and business colleagues to develop global regulatory compliance and go to market strategies\n\nPartner with Policy and Comms on consultations, draft legislation and communication strategies\n\nHelp scale the legal organization by developing technology-first processes, including through the use of AI\n\nConduct trainings for engineers and other teams across the company\n\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nSignificant experience advising on online safety and digital regulation in Europe\n\nDeep understanding of the European digital regulatory landscape, including platform regulation and privacy law\n\nStrong understanding of the European digital legal landscape\n\nExperience in advising on key European digital legislation, including the Digital Services Act (DSA) and Online Safety Act\n\nDetail-oriented, business-minded, and highly collaborative, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines\n\nExcellent legal and business judgement, with the ability to think strategically and creatively\n\nStrong work ethic and ability to work both independently and collaboratively\n\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and regulatory issues to a broad range of stakeholders\n\nExperience partnering closely with engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional teams\n\nComfortable navigating emerging areas of law and technology in a fast-evolving regulatory environment\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nUK or EU legal qualification or foreign equivalent\n\n4+ years of experience practicing law (includes training years)\n\nStrong understanding of laws relating to digital platforms\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nIn-house experience counseling clients on safety, privacy and technology and platform-related matters (this could be via a secondment)\n\nExperience supporting the business in building positive relationships with regulators to achieve business goals and minimize risk\n\nExperience coordinating across different jurisdictions and developing company-wide strategies for compliance, taking into account diverse jurisdictions and requirements\n\nStrong understanding of artificial intelligence and associated laws, including challenges and opportunities\n\nIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information.\n\"Default Together\" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration.
