We're offering 3-6 month contracts and are open to students who can commit on a part time or full time student. Your start date is flexible and can be arranged together with the hiring manager.\nAs a student worker you will work on the CoreOS team to help us develop cutting edge AR experiences for future Spectacles. CoreOS team’s mission is to develop OS level features for Spectacles such as graphics, display, power, storage solutions, interprocess communications and more.\nAdditionally, you will:\nTackle the unique software engineering challenges of Mixed Reality devices across the graphics and display systems of Spectacles.\nProduce high-performance code that will have a direct impact on Snap products and technology\n\nCollaborate closely with a mentor and fellow team members on a student worker project\n\nAcquire and apply new software engineering skills\n\nKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities\nStrong computer science fundamentals\n\nBasic knowledge of Graphics and Display Pipelines\n\nExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and software debugging skills\n\nAbility to collaborate with other engineers and across different teams\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nCurrently enrolled in a MS or PhD program in a technical field, such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field\n\nYou must be legally permitted to work in Austria as a student\n\nProficiency in programming C/C++ for Linux-based platforms\n\nComfortable working with a Linux terminal (e.g., Bash)\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with software tracing tools\n\nExperience in Mixed Reality, Robotics, classical Computer Vision or Graphics/Rendering\n\nInterest in working with embedded and resource constrained systems\n\nPositive attitude and willing to learn and contribute in the area of augmented reality devices\n\nExperience with Git, CMake, working on Linux, and embedded systems\n\nIf you have a disability or special need that requires accommodation, please don’t be shy and provide us some information.\n\"Default Together\" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration.
