The company develops Specs, advanced eyewear that seamlessly integrates digital experiences into the physical world.\nSpecs feature see-through lenses that place digital objects directly into three-dimensional space, powered by Snap OS, a proprietary, context-aware operating system designed for natural interaction with your hands and voice.\nSpecs Inc. also provides Lens Studio, a full suite of advanced developer tools that powers immersive augmented reality experiences across Specs, Snapchat, and other services.\nWe’re looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Spectacles team at Snap Inc!\nWhat you’ll do:\nOwn schematic design, circuit review, stackup definition and layout review for PCB, Flex and Rigid Flex designs\n\nTest and validate electrical designs\n\nWork with senior engineers to debug hardware issues, including power quality, high-speed signal integrity, low speed interface performance, and coexistence\n\nAnalyze circuits over process, variability and temperature\n\nDevelop electronic prototypes for new product concepts\n\nCollaborate with RF, Product Design, Firmware, and cross-functional engineering teams throughout the entire development process from design to failure analysis\n\nTravel internationally up to 20% to support development builds onsite at external suppliers and partners\n\nKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:\nStrong electrical engineering fundamentals\n\nExperience in electronic design, including component selection and schematic design\n\nFamiliarity with low power/battery operated designs\n\nGreat interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across groups\n\nExperience with lab equipment, oscilloscopes, battery simulators, dmms, vector network analyzers\n\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBS/BA degree in Electrical Engineering, related field, or equivalent years of experience\n\n1+ years of relevant experience in electrical or hardware engineering\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMS in Electrical Engineering or related field.\n\nExperience developing consumer electronic devices\n\nExperience with vendor communication\n\nExperience with Cadence Orcad and Allegro\n\n\"Default Together\" Policy at Snap: At Snap Inc. we believe that being together in person helps us build our culture faster, reinforce our values, and serve our community, customers and partners better through dynamic collaboration. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.
