We look for people who can communicate clearly, understand business context, work responsibly with modern AI tools and take ownership of real delivery outcomes.\nThe opportunity\nWe are building a shortlist of experienced Google Cloud engineers for an upcoming US client engagement.\nYou will work as an embedded member of the client’s technical team, helping design, deploy and operate production systems on Google Cloud Platform.\nThis is not a role for someone whose experience is limited to certification study or personal projects. We are looking for an engineer who has worked with GCP in a real production environment and can explain the decisions, trade-offs and outcomes behind their work.\nWhat you will do\nDesign and implement secure, scalable systems on Google Cloud Platform.\nSupport cloud migrations, platform modernization and production deployments.\nBuild and maintain infrastructure using tools such as Terraform.\nConfigure networking, identity, permissions and secure access controls.\nDevelop and improve CI/CD pipelines.\nImplement logging, monitoring, alerting and observability.\nInvestigate production incidents and performance problems.\nImprove reliability, resilience, cost efficiency and operational processes.\nWork closely with client engineers, product teams and technical stakeholders.\nCommunicate risks, blockers and technical decisions clearly.\nCreate practical documentation that helps the client team operate independently.\nUse AI-assisted development tools responsibly while validating all technical output.\nRequired experience\nStrong hands-on experience working with GCP in production.\nExperience with several relevant GCP services, such as:\nCompute Engine\nGoogle Kubernetes Engine\nCloud Run\nCloud Functions\nBigQuery\nCloud SQL\nPub/Sub\nCloud Storage\nIAM\nVPC networking\nCloud Monitoring and Logging\nExperience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.\nExperience with containers, Docker and modern deployment practices.\nUnderstanding of cloud security, least-privilege access and secrets management.\nExperience with CI/CD and source-control workflows.\nAbility to diagnose technical problems systematically.\nStrong spoken and written English.\nAbility to work independently while escalating risks early.\nAvailability for meaningful overlap with US or UK working hours, depending on the engagement.\nCertification\nA current Google Cloud certification is strongly preferred, particularly one of the following:\nProfessional Cloud Architect\nProfessional Cloud DevOps Engineer\nProfessional Cloud Developer\nProfessional Data Engineer\nAssociate Cloud Engineer\nCertification alone will not determine selection.
