What we do makes a real difference to people's lives, and you'll share the satisfaction of doing something that really matters in a environment where your health and safety is important to ensure you and your colleagues stay safe and well, everywhere, every day.\nWe are now the 6th largest housing association by size - with almost 3000 colleagues, over 85,000 homes and over 200,000 customers across London and the South.\nWe're currently recruiting for an experienced/qualified Plumber to join our Property Team in our Basingstoke, Surrey and North Hants locality.\nAs you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.\nWhat you'll be doing:\nAs a Plumber you'll complete plumbing repairs and maintenance jobs to SNG's properties in line with work schedules within our Responsive Repairs Team and elsewhere depending on demand.\nOther duties to include basic carpentry, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasks.\nTasks to include:\nRepairs to domestic plumbing installations\nInstallation of replacement sanitary ware and baths, shower trays and level decks and associated equipment\nInstallation of kitchen sinks\nInstallation of new pipe work (copper, speed fit, waste, rainwater)\nInstallation of new sundry items such as taps and ball valves\nRepairs to sundry items\nInstalling and repairing water mains supplies, heating system pipe work and drainage stop taps\nInstalling and fixing domestic appliances like showers and washing machines\nVented and unvented cylinder heads (HWSS qualified or alternative)\nCold water storage tank maintenance and renewal\nOther duties to include basic carpentry, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasks.\nWhat you'll need:\nYou should have a minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing OR have at least 5 years experience within this core trade. You will have experience of working in occupied premises and be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills. \nHave a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.\nEnjoy working as part of a team\nThe ability to use mobile technology such as iPad or PDA is essential.
