The Role:

Bringing new products to market is central to Snif's growth, and great ideas only matter if they reach customers as intended. As the Product Commercialization Manager, you will own the execution path from project kickoff through production and launch, turning the product roadmap into a clear, well-run plan that gets every launch out the door on time, on spec, and on budget.

You are the operational hub of new product development. You will hold the master development calendar, set and track milestones, and drive accountability across Product Development, Operations, Retail, and Brand. When timelines shift, components are delayed, or priorities compete, you're the one who spots it early, rallies the right people, and keeps the work moving.

This role calls for someone who is exceptionally organized, proactive, and solution-oriented, with a sharp eye for detail and a calm, steady approach to complex cross-functional work. You're energized by building process and creating clarity for the teams around you, and you never lose sight of the brand, the customer, and our quality standards. As we continue to scale, you'll play a key part in strengthening how we develop and launch products, building systems that make each launch smoother than the last.

This role will report directly to the VP of Product.

While we are based in New York City, we operate as a remote team. This job may require travel ~10% of the time depending on business needs.

What You'll Do:

    Timeline & Process Ownership

  • Own and maintain the master development milestones for all new launches, from kickoff through first production run
  • Build and manage individual project timelines working backward from launch and retailer in-store dates
  • Run the stage-gate process, holding teams to gate deliverables and clearly flagging when a gate is at risk
  • Identify critical path items early and build contingency plans before timelines slip
  • Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead the weekly cross-functional commercialization meeting, walking every program and surfacing outstanding milestones
  • Partner daily with Product Development, Operations, Retail, Brand, and Creative to keep projects tracking
  • Follow up relentlessly to unblock stalled workstreams and re-sequence when dates move
  • Escalate development risks and decisions to the leadership team and CEO with a clear recommendation, not just a problem
  • Vendor & Supply Chain Management

  • Work directly with formula, component, and packaging vendors to build and validate development timelines
  • Manage packaging vendors on new tooling development, tooling trials, and component lead times
  • Track MOQs, lead times, and capacity constraints, and factor them into launch feasibility & timeline
  • Launch Readiness

  • Manage timelines of required testing (stability, compatibility, PET, safety assessments) and keep testing on the critical path
  • Track retailer new-item submission deadlines and line review calendars, and work backward from them
  • Run post-launch retrospectives and feed lessons learned back into the development process

What You'll Bring:

  • 4-7 years in commercialization, project management, or product operations, ideally in beauty, fragrance, or CPG
  • Proven track record managing multiple concurrent launches against fixed retail dates
  • Deep familiarity with the beauty and/or home scent development cycle: formula, component, tooling, artwork, testing, and production
  • Strong vendor management skills and comfort negotiating timelines
  • Fluency in PLM/ERP systems and project management tools (ie. Smartsheet, Asana, Monday, or similar)
  • Highly organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable driving accountability across teams without direct authority
  • Ability to break down complex problems or processes to fundamentals in order to execute thoughtfully and efficiently
  • An imaginative yet analytical mindset, with the ability to translate data into simple, real-world outcomes and goals
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills that foster real, trusting relationships
  • Openness to direct communication and feedback lead with kindness and positivity
  • Strength and rigor in navigating ambiguity-you’re a self-starter and a team player
  • Curiosity and innovation-you’re constantly seeking ways to improve products and processes
  • A desire for the excitement, grind, and freedom that comes with an early-stage, fast-growing startup
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Suite

Bonus Points:

  • Passion for scented products, including (but not limited to) fragrance, body care, candles, and laundry categories

What You'll Get

  • Be part of a fast-growing company with an awesome mission
  • Highly competitive salary and equity so you’re a part of the Snif family
  • An opportunity for growth and ability to widen your role and responsibilities
  • Medical, Dental and Vision healthcare insurance
  • 401K Retirement Plan with company matching
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Flexible vacation and PTO policy
  • Industry-leading well-being and mental-health benefits
  • Virtual and remote work as well as work-from-home setup
  • Snif product on us!
