You'll join early enough that everything you build becomes the way it's done, taking us from a fractional accounting provider to an in-house finance function you help design from the ground up. This is a hybrid role based in the New York metro area.\nThe role\nAs Snout’s Controller, you'll own the general ledger, the monthly close, and the integrity of our books as we transition from a fractional accounting provider to an in-house finance function you help design from scratch. You'll inherit a working but outsourced ledger, and within two quarters you'll own a close process, a documented revenue recognition policy, and a successful audit kickoff. This isn't a maintenance role: our financial statements are covenant deliverables under a committed debt facility, and Snout operates as Servicer at member-transaction scale, so precision matters from day one. This role reports directly to the CFO.\nYou will be an early hire in a rapidly scaling finance organization spanning accounting, capital markets, data and analytics, and FP&A - the foundational finance role at a category-defining company, with the growth in front of it rather than behind it. In your first year, you'll take Snout through its first GAAP audit, serving as the named accounting counterpart to our auditors and our institutional credit facility lender. You'll build and document a revenue recognition policy for a genuinely novel membership-plan model, own the reporting our lender depends on for covenant compliance, coordinate tax cleanup with outside advisors, and design the cash and payment controls that keep member and clinic money moving safely.
