We've got a flat culture and believe a good idea can come from anywhere.\nThe Role\nWe're looking for a hands-on Accountant to help run the day-to-day financial operations behind Snowball.\nThis role is intentionally broad. Rather than owning one narrow piece of accounting, you'll work across the monthly accounting cycle, including invoicing and cash receipts, AP, payroll, contractor payments, reconciliations, month-end close, reporting, and financial systems.\nWe're looking for someone who already has strong accounting fundamentals and some real-world experience doing the work, but is excited to broaden their exposure and grow into greater ownership.\nWorking closely with all stakeholders at Snowball and with our wonderful clients, the goal is for you to become increasingly autonomous across Snowball's day-to-day accounting operations while helping us build smarter systems and processes as we scale.\nWhat You'll Own\nCore Accounting Operations\nManage client invoicing, accounts receivable, and cash receipt processing\n\nProcess vendor invoices and execute accounts payable accurately and on schedule\n\nCoordinate contractor payments\n\nSupport and process payroll\n\nReview and process employee expenses and reimbursements\n\nPerform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations\n\nPrepare and post journal entries and support prepaid and accrual accounting\n\nSupport the month-end close process and financial reporting\n\nInvestigate discrepancies and ensure transactions are recorded accurately\n\nFinancial Systems & Reporting\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date records in QuickBooks Online\n\nMaintain and update financial forecasts and reporting in Google Sheets\n\nEnsure financial data is accurate and consistent across systems\n\nMaintain and improve integrations between financial systems\n\nTroubleshoot issues and identify opportunities to make accounting workflows more efficient\n\nSupport the implementation of new financial systems and processes as Snowball grows\n\nDocumentation & Organization\nMaintain the Finance Drive as the central source of contracts and financial documentation\n\nEnsure financial records are properly stored, organized, and audit-ready\n\nMaintain clear accounting processes and documentation\n\nContinuously identify opportunities to improve accuracy, organization, and efficiency\n\nWhat We're Looking For\n2-4 years of hands-on accounting, bookkeeping, or related experience\n\nStrong accounting fundamentals and an understanding of the monthly accounting cycle\n\nExperience across multiple areas of accounting rather than exposure to only one narrow function\n\nHands-on experience with account reconciliations and month-end close\n\nExperience with accounts payable and accounts receivable\n\nWorking knowledge of QuickBooks Online or a comparable accounting system\n\nStrong Google Sheets or Excel skills\n\nExcellent attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy\n\nHighly organized and able to manage recurring deadlines without things falling through the cracks\n\nCurious and comfortable digging into a problem to understand why something isn't working\n\nProactive and willing to identify problems and propose solutions rather than waiting to be told what to do\n\nPositive and collaborative\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills\n\nComfortable operating independently in a fast-moving
