Part of the respected Purdue University system, with its 150-year legacy of innovation and accessibility, Purdue Global delivers personalized online education tailored to adults who have work and life experience beyond the classroom, giving them the support and flexibility they need to achieve their career goals.\nThis isn't a traditional university serving traditional students. Purdue Global's students are working parents, veterans, career changers, and driven adults who strive for more: more recognition, more support, and more opportunity. They're not going back to school; they're coming back bigger, stronger, and more prepared than ever, with a degree they're proud of and employers respect.\nEvery piece of content is a chance to show these students what's possible, and that genuinely changes lives.\nThe Opportunity\nPurdue Global is expanding its YouTube presence. As the Editor, you'll bring the channel's stories to life, turning raw footage into content that holds attention and earns its views. You'll own post-production end to end, including motion design, social effects, and thumbnails, ensuring every video feels unmistakably Purdue Global: honest, human, and built for working adults.\nThis role reports directly to Purdue Global, with Snowball serving as the creative YouTube partner supporting the channel's strategic and creative development. You'll collaborate closely with Snowball's YouTube growth experts (27M+ subs, 110B+ views) to push creative boundaries, experiment with new formats, and help build one of the most compelling voices in online education.\nWhat You'll Do\nEdit YouTube-first content aligned with Purdue Global's mission, voice, and learning philosophy\n\nOwn pacing, story structure, and retention, shaping edits for how audiences actually watch\n\nCreate motion graphics and social effects in-edit to elevate storytelling and keep production moving\n\nDesign and iterate on thumbnails in partnership with the producer\n\nPartner closely with the Producer/Director to shape creative vision throughout post-production\n\nCollaborate with strategists, marketers, and creative teams to deliver videos aligned with channel goals\n\nContinuously refine your approach based on YouTube performance, audience insights, and best practices\n\nMaintain a high creative bar while balancing efficiency, organization, and scalability\n\nPartner with Snowball to analyze YouTube performance data and continuously optimize for reach, retention, and engagement\n\nWhat You'll Bring\n5+ years of experience editing YouTube or digital-first content\n\nStrong portfolio demonstrating exceptional storytelling, pacing, and retention instincts\n\nMotion design and graphics skills within your edits (After Effects or equivalent)\n\nThumbnail design ability\n\nStrong organizational skills with experience managing multiple edits simultaneously\n\nCollaborative mindset and experience working cross-functionally with creative, production, and marketing teams\n\nOpenness to feedback and the ability to edit for the audience, not for yourself\n\nPassion for AI that actually helps people. Whether it's building smarter workflows, finding creative solutions, or making your team's day a little easier, we want to know how you're using AI to make a real impact, not just checking a box.\n\nBonus\nExperience editing educational, career, or personal-transformation content\n\nExperience working with higher education, edtech, or mission-driven brands\n\nDeep understanding of YouTube storytelling, audience retention, pacing, and viewer engagement\n\nExperience helping build or grow YouTube channels\n\nWhat It's Like to Work With Purdue Global\nThe mission is real. Purdue Global students are everyday people earning degrees that change the trajectory of their lives and their families' lives, and the team genuinely believes in that.\n\nCuriosity is the culture they're building. They're looking for people with a growth mindset who learn, adapt, and stay current with how audiences actually consume content.\n\nCollaboration over ego. You'll bring deep subject-matter expertise, hear other perspectives, and apply them with your own craft.\n\nYou'll have real creative ownership. This is a new channel initiative, and you'll help define what it becomes.\n\nReady To Apply?\nTo help us get to know you better, please share the following:\nHow do you use AI in your work? We're especially interested in how you're integrating it into your workflows and creative process, not just whether you use it.\n\nShare work you're proud of. Point us to YouTube content that performed well and genuinely reflects your creative voice and talent.\n\nYour POV. What do you believe makes great YouTube content? We want to know how you think.\n\nSalary expectations. What are you looking for in terms of compensation?\n\nAnything else you'd like us to know.
