At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.\nSenior Solution Engineer, Enterprise Acquisition\nWe are looking for a Senior Solution Engineer to join our Enterprise Acquisition team in Sydney. You will solve complex problems and help close large deals with new Retail and Telecommunications customers. You'll work with sales and channel partners from first discovery through proof of concept to signed business.\nAS A SENIOR SOLUTION ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:\nPresent Snowflake's AI Data Cloud vision to executives and technical teams at retail and telco prospects, showing the value of Snowflake Cortex AI, Snowpark and Snowflake Horizon\n\nWork hands-on through the whole sales cycle: tailored demos, enterprise proofs of concept, solution design and implementation planning\n\nWork with Account Executives and channel partners to plan and win competitive deals with new customers\n\nDig deep into customer architectures and map them to Snowflake's data architecture, including open lakehouse patterns with Apache Iceberg tables\n\nBuild retail and telco use cases such as customer 360, demand forecasting, personalisation, churn prediction, and data collaboration through Snowflake Marketplace and secure data sharing\n\nStay current on competing and complementary technologies and position Snowflake clearly against them\n\nWork with Product Management, Engineering and Marketing to keep improving Snowflake's products and messaging\n\nOUR IDEAL SENIOR SOLUTION ENGINEER WILL HAVE:\n10+ years of relevant industry experience, ideally in pre-sales or solution engineering\n\nProven experience with Retail or Telecommunications organisations, including their data, business drivers and stakeholders\n\nExcellent presentation skills with technical and executive audiences, whether on a whiteboard or in a demo\n\nAbility to build and own senior C-suite relationships\n\nBroad experience with large-scale database and data warehouse technology, ETL, analytics and cloud platforms, including Data Lake, Data Mesh and Data Fabric patterns\n\nHands-on SQL, SQL analytics and Python skills\n\nAbility to connect a customer's specific business problems to Snowflake's solutions\n\nA university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related field, or equivalent experience\n\nBONUS POINTS FOR THE FOLLOWING:\nExperience with global systems integrators (GSIs) such as EY, Deloitte or Accenture\n\nFamiliarity with retail data (POS, loyalty, supply chain, ecommerce) or telco data (OSS/BSS, network telemetry, subscriber analytics)\n\nHands-on experience building generative AI or ML solutions\n\nA Masters in Data Science or Business Administration\n\nWHY JOIN OUR TEAM AT SNOWFLAKE?
