They must share our passion about reinventing the data platform and thrive in a dynamic environment.\nThe Solution Engineer will work hand-in-hand with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing. In this role you will work directly with the account sales team on a handful of global accounts with GCCs in India to accelerate their Snowflake journey. The Solution Engineer will be responsible for providing the technical expertise to make Snowflake customers successful in driving existing projects and uncover new use cases. This data architect will have a broad range of skills and experience ranging from data architecture to ETL/ELT, data science, security, performance analysis, analytics, etc. He/she will have the insight to make the connection between a customer’s specific business problems and Snowflake’s solution, the customer-facing skills to communicate that connection and vision to a wide variety of technical and executive audiences, and the technical skills to be able to not only build demos and execute proof-of-concepts but also to provide consultative assistance on architecture and implementation.\nThis is a hands-on, individual contributor role with high visibility across the organisation.\nThe Solution Engineer has the willingness to jump in and do what it takes to make Snowflake and our customers successful. It means keeping up to date on the ever-evolving technologies for data and analytics in order to be an authoritative resource for both Snowflake and customers. They should work collaboratively with a broad range of people, both inside and outside the company.\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\nPresent Snowflake technology and vision to executives and technical contributors at prospects and customers\n\nWork hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology throughout the sales cycle, from demo to proof of concept to design and implementation\n\nMaintain a deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and vendors and how to position Snowflake in relation to them\n\nCollaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Snowflake’s products and marketing\n\nBe an advocate and develop mutual trust with the technical audience on the customer side\n\nRun training sessions, workshops, webinars to help customers become proficient in Snowflake\n\nKeeping customers up to date on key Snowflake product updates and future roadmaps to help them represent Snowflake to their clients about latest technology solutions and benefits\n\nRun technical enablement programs to provide best practices, and solution design workshops to help customers create effective solutions\n\nCreate and develop technical champions in your accounts to drive Snowflake adoption\n\nRepresent Snowflake at customer or industry events\n\nForward Strategic thinking - quickly grasp the essence of new concepts and business value messaging. Sharing customer success stories & case studies to showcase the impact of Snowflake\n\nREQUIREMENTS:\nMinimum 10+ years of experience working in customer facing solution engineering (tech sales) role, preferably with large Global accounts\n\nUniversity degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related fields, or equivalent experience\n\nStrong competency on modern data stacks, ETL/ELT, data warehouse/lake, data science and data apps\n\nOutstanding skills presenting to both technical and executive audiences, in small groups or at public events, whether impromptu on a whiteboard or using presentations and demos.\n\nHands-on expertise with SQL and Python\n\nExperience working with large global accounts, GSIs and/or Global Capability Centers\n\nExperience with large-scale database technology (e.g. Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum, Hadoop etc.)\n\nPre-sales experience in data related tech products\n\nSound understanding and experience in the enterprise market and technology ecosystem\n\nADDED BONUS FOR:\nData Science/AI/ML experience across a variety of platforms\n\nFamiliarity and experience with common BI and data exploration tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, Metabase etc).\n\nCloud Provider Experience - Amazon AWS/Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud\n\nData modeling and data architecture experience\n\nExperience selling enterprise SaaS software to Global Accounts\n\nSnowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth.
