At Snowflake, your role isn't just to execute a function, but to help redefine the future of how work gets done.\nSenior Solutions Engineer\nSnowflake is growing fast, and we are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our ANZ field team in Perth. In this role, you will partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to help customers understand, evaluate, and realise the value of the Snowflake AI Data Cloud.\nThis role is aligned to a major enterprise account in the Perth market and is well suited to a strong technical operator who combines customer-facing confidence with practical execution capability. While data architecture depth remains important, this role is especially suited to someone who can build trust on the ground, drive technical progress within complex customer environments, and help uncover new opportunities over time. Experience or strong interest in AI and machine learning deployment workflows will be highly regarded.\nYou will bring strong technical expertise, customer engagement skills, and the ability to connect business challenges to modern data and AI solutions. You should be comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders, leading discovery sessions, building demos, running proofs of concept, and guiding customers on architecture and implementation approaches.\nAs a Senior Solutions Engineer at Snowflake, you will:\nPartner with account executives and cross-functional teams to drive the technical win across the sales cycle\n\nPresent Snowflake’s vision, platform, and value to technical and executive audiences\n\nWork hands-on with prospects and customers to demonstrate the value of Snowflake through discovery, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept engagements\n\nGuide customers on modern data architecture, solution design, and implementation considerations across analytics, data engineering, AI/ML, performance, and governance\n\nTranslate customer business challenges into practical solution patterns that drive adoption and long-term value\n\nDevelop trusted relationships with architects, engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders within strategic enterprise accounts\n\nMaintain an understanding of competitive and complementary technologies and position Snowflake effectively in relation to them\n\nCollaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake’s products, messaging, and field effectiveness\n\nHelp customers stay current on Snowflake product innovation, roadmap developments, and emerging use cases\n\nRepresent Snowflake at customer meetings, executive briefings, workshops, and industry events\n\nOur ideal Senior Solutions Engineer will have:\n10+ years of experience in a customer-facing solutions engineering, sales engineering, solution architecture, or technical pre-sales role\n\nStrong competency across modern data stacks, including ETL/ELT, data warehouses, data lakes, analytics, and cloud-native data platforms\n\nExperience working with enterprise customers in complex technical and stakeholder environments\n\nStrong hands-on technical capability, including SQL and Python\n\nThe ability to connect a customer’s technical and business challenges to a practical Snowflake solution\n\nExcellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences\n\nConfidence facilitating whiteboarding sessions, technical workshops, and solution discussions\n\nA pragmatic, collaborative approach and willingness to be hands-on in driving customer success\n\nStrong relationship-building capability, professional presence, and the ability to simplify technical concepts into structured business narratives.\n\nStrongly desired:\nExperience with AI and machine learning deployment workflows\n\nExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud\n\nFamiliarity with business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI\n\nExperience with large-scale database technologies and cloud data platforms\n\nBackground in enterprise SaaS and complex technical sales cycles\n\nUniversity degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience\n\nWhat success looks like in this role\nYou quickly establish credibility with technical teams and key stakeholders across the account\n\nYou bring a practical, execution-oriented style that helps move opportunities forward\n\nYou translate Snowflake capabilities into clear business and technical value\n\nYou create technical champions and trusted relationships within the customer environment\n\nYou contribute to both immediate deal progression and the long-term growth of the account\n\nSnowflake is growing fast, and we’re scaling our team to help enable and accelerate our growth.
