{"id":1503854,"url":"https://alion.io/job/snu-academic-coordinator","title":"Academic Coordinator","company":{"id":1965070,"name":"SNU","domain":"snu.edu","url":"https://alion.io/company/snu-edu","size_band":null,"is_staffing_agency":false,"employer_type":"direct","is_intermediary":false,"listed_via":null,"ats_vendor":"Paycom","truth_index":null},"role":"Administrative","role_family":"Administrative","seniority":"junior","employment_type":"full_time","work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"remote_scope_basis":null,"remote_working_hours":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Bethany, United States"],"countries":["US"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":36000,"max_usd":63000,"period":"year","method":"role_seniority_country_remote_cell","sample_n":2661},"experience_years_min":2,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[{"name":"Microsoft Office","optional":false}],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-09-30T04:54:34Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-10-05","last_verified_at":"2026-10-08T11:27:46Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":8,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":8},"description":"Full time / Hourly / Non-Exempt\nWORK SCHEDULE\nMonday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm\nJOB SUMMARY\nServes as an academic coordinator (administrative assistant) to the VPAA for the College of Undergraduate Studies (CUGS) and to the General Education Director, works as an effective, positive team member in supporting all activities and responsibilities of the Office of Academic Affairs, and contributes to a culture of Christlikeness, excellence, belonging, integrity, and service.\nRESPONSIBILITIES\nEssential Functions:\nProvides administrative help to the VPAA-CUGS and to the General Education (Gen Ed) Director.\nCommunicates with faculty, staff, students, parents, and stakeholders on behalf of Academic Affairs.\nCollaborates with HR and Department Chairs in the hiring of CUGS adjunct faculty including interviewing, credentialing, and new adjunct faculty orientation.\nPrepares and monitors fulltime faculty overload and adjunct faculty teaching agreements.\nMaintains CUGS records of faculty workload and student credit hours generated.\nWorks with Financial Aid to track eVerification each semester.\nTracks attendance taking and works with Department Chairs to support consistent attendance reporting practices.\nAssist with timely textbook adoption with the campus bookstore.\nCommunicates with faculty to collect and organize artifacts for the Gen Ed Council’s review and assessment.\nCollaborates with the Gen Ed Director to input Professional Studies (PS) course schedules into the Colleague CRM and works with the Registrar’s Office and PS Student Services to manage enrollment and access for CUGS students in PS courses.\nAssists the Associate VPAA-CUGS in Concurrent Enrollment, particularly as it relates to offering General Education courses to high school studies.\nMaintain paper and electronic student records, manage social media and scholar communication, support program event planning, and other tasks related to the McNair Scholars program.\nReconciles monthly purchase card statements for supervisor(s).\nResearches and prepares data for special projects as assigned.\nPlans and coordinates special events (Honors Ceremony, luncheons, workshops, etc.) as assigned.\nOther duties as assigned.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications:\nSouthern Nazarene University is an expression of the Church of the Nazarene.
