The ideal candidate will be a strong hands-on engineer who also brings mature leadership capabilities, sound architectural judgment, and exceptional software craftsmanship practices.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n Software Engineering & Craftsmanship\nDevelop high‑quality, maintainable code using Software Craftsmanship principles such as:\nTest-Driven Development (TDD)\nContinuous Integration / Continuous Delivery / Continuous Deployment\nClean code, refactoring, SOLID principles\nParticipate actively in design reviews and code reviews to ensure engineering excellence.\nImplement quick POCs using the latest tech stack to validate ideas and technical feasibility.\nApply design patterns and engineering best practices for scalable and maintainable solutions.\nCollaborate in all phases of the SDLC, with strong understanding of Agile/Scrum or continuous delivery environments.\n Big Data Engineering & Distributed Systems\nLead development of large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Spark (Java/Scala).\nOversee data processing frameworks in Hadoop and Hive, especially within Azure-based ecosystems.\nOptimize Spark/Hive workloads for cost, performance, and reliability.\n Cloud, Kubernetes & Infrastructure Engineering\nLead architecture and operations of distributed applications running on:\nKubernetes (On-Prem + AKS)\nDocker\nDrive adoption of Helm, container standards, and cluster best practices.\nBuild and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform (IaC) with reusable, scalable modules.\nEnsure end-to-end observability of clusters using Prometheus, ELK, APM tools, and custom Python scripts.\n DevOps Engineering & CI/CD Leadership\nDefine and own the platform CI/CD strategy using:\nGitHub Actions\nJenkins\nTerraform automation\nBuild standardized CI/CD frameworks for 50+ microservices, leveraging Helm and automated build workflows.\nAutomate DNS creation, certificate management, APM integration, user management, Vault policy creation, and repository migrations (200+ repos).\nChampion an automation-first mindset across the engineering and SRE teams.\nCoordinate with developers and testers for smooth deployment and production readiness.\n Database Engineering\nProvide leadership on PostgreSQL cluster management:\nHA setup\nPerformance tuning\nFailover mechanisms\nMonitoring dashboards\nAutomate PostgreSQL operations using Python and infrastructure scripts.\n Observability, Stability & Support\nEnsure reliability and availability of services across stacks (Java, Angular, .NET).\nImplement monitoring and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Elastic APM.\nOversee production stability through proactive dashboards and automated health checks.\nProvide guidance for L2/L3 support and participate in incident review and resolution.\n Leadership & Collaboration\nLead a cross-functional team of developers, DevOps engineers, and data engineers.\nTranslate business requirements into technical designs and actionable backlogs.\nMentor team members on coding practices, DevOps processes, and cloud-native patterns.\nCollaborate with distributed teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\n\n10+ years of experience in software engineering / data engineering / DevOps roles.\nStrong expertise in:\nApache Spark (Java/Scala)\nHadoop, Hive on Azure\nKubernetes, Docker\nAzure Kubernetes Service (AKS)\nAnsible\nJenkins & GitHub Actions\nPostgreSQL (HA + automation)\nStrong understanding of CI/CD, SDLC, Agile, and continuous delivery.\nGood understanding of networking fundamentals, DNS, LBs, ingress controllers.\nExperience working on production support and high-availability systems.\n\nSoft Skills\n\nStrong leadership and mentoring capabilities.\nExcellent communication skills with distributed teams.\nAbility to analyze complex problems and deliver quick, practical solutions.\nHigh sense of ownership and accountability.\n\nNice-to-Have\n\nExperience with Azure Data Lake, Databricks, or Synapse.\nExposure to microservices architecture and domain-driven design.\n\nRequired\n\n Profile required \n\n Require 6+ years relevant experience (Spark)\n Programming experience Using Spark - Java/Scala\n Working knowledge on CI/CD Pipeline\n Experience in Hadoop and HIVE on AZURE is mandatory\n Participate to API Development\nStrong expertise in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.\nHands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform.\nProficiency with Git Hub actions, Ansible, Jenkins, and CI/CD tooling.\n Experience on support activities.\n Ability to work closely in a team environment is highly recommended.\n\n Why join us \n\nWe are committed to creating a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
