The successful candidate will conduct shop and field inspections of structural steel welding, bolting, and nondestructive testing activities while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, specifications, and project requirements.\nResponsibilities\nPerform shop and field inspections of structural steel welding and bolting activities.\nVerify compliance with approved plans, specifications, AWS standards, and applicable building codes.\nReview welding procedures, welder qualifications, and inspection requirements.\nPerform and document welding inspections in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.\nCoordinate and review nondestructive testing (NDT) activities and results.\nRead and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and code requirements.\nPrepare accurate daily reports, inspection documentation, and project records.\nMaintain complete and organized project files, including reports, field notes, correspondence, RFIs, and supporting documentation.\nCommunicate inspection findings and project updates to project managers, contractors, engineers, and client representatives.\nIdentify and document non-conforming work and verify corrective actions when required.\nTravel to project sites as needed to support inspection activities throughout the region.\nPerform inspections in accordance with company quality standards and safety procedures.\n Required Qualifications\n Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in construction quality assurance, welding inspection, special inspections, or related construction services.\nThorough knowledge of structural steel welding, bolting, and applicable AWS codes and standards.\nAbility to read and interpret structural drawings, shop drawings, specifications, and building code requirements.\nStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate project documentation.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and organizational skills.\nWillingness and ability to travel for project assignments.\nValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.\nAbility to successfully complete background screening and drug testing requirements, if applicable.\nPreferred Qualifications (optional)\nICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector Certification.\n NDT certifications (MT, PT, RT, VT, or other Level II/III certifications).\nICC Structural Steel and Bolting Special Inspector certification.\nICC Structural Steel Welding Special Inspector certification.\nExperience performing inspections on large commercial, industrial, infrastructure, or public works projects.\n Salary range: $50-60/hour, depending on qualifications\nStart
