Additionally, this position requires the ability to recognize any potential constructability or installations issues that might require modification to typical installation design.\nWhat you will do:\nUnderstand phases of exterior wall construction projects including but not limited to shop drawing, modeling, design development and construction documents. \nConduct field review and progress inspection on designated projects. \nField review observations will also include, at times, detailed forensic investigation and analysis of failed or defective construction.\nTrack project activity by maintaining well written reports, detailed documents, schedules, effort of work and estimates.\nObservations of new or as built construction may include aspects of the following:Below grade waterproofing\nBelow slab vapor barriers and pipe penetrations\nObservation prior to installation of Shotcrete walls\nObservation of building cladding; Vinyl siding, stucco, EIFS, masonry\nObservation of window applications - installation and inspections\nObservation of roofing components - before, during and after roofing applications\nProduce field notes on site, and in the office\nPhotograph all conditions observed during above mentioned inspections\nCoordinate contractual issues\nDirect workers to perform repairs when non-conformance occurs\nDraft Construction Field Directives\nDraft Professional Service Agreements\nDraft Scopes of Work\nMinimal direction to administrative personnel\n\n Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering (Architectural, Civil, or Mechanical preferred)\nMinimum 1-3 years working with building envelope design, inspection, development and/or engineering.\nWorking knowledge of current codes and standards\nWorking knowledge of waterproofing; exterior cladding; building envelope components is a plus\nKnowledge of broad architectural design theories/concepts and specific structural theories/concepts related to exterior wall construction.\nAbility to read and interpret architectural drawings.\nStrong written & verbal communications skills.\nProficiency in MS Office and modeling/drafting software (AutoCAD, Revit, BIM\nPLUS SKILLS: Experience with Infra-Red, Wind Uplift Chamber, Air Barrier Testing, and Window Testing.
