This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional with hands-on experience developing and maintaining construction schedules who is looking to expand their capabilities in project controls, schedule analysis, and construction advisory.\nThe successful candidate will ideally have approximately two years of experience working with a general contractor, construction manager, specialty contractor, or similar construction organization, with direct exposure to developing, updating, and managing construction schedules.\nThe role will support projects across the building and infrastructure sectors and will work closely with senior schedulers, project controls professionals, project managers, and technical experts.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist in the development, review, and maintenance of detailed construction project schedules.\nDevelop and update Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules based on project scope, construction sequencing, and contractor work plans.\nSupport preparation of baseline schedules, schedule updates, recovery schedules, and short-term look-ahead schedules.\nReview contractor schedule submissions for completeness, logic, sequencing, durations, and compliance with project requirements.\nMonitor project progress and incorporate actual progress into schedule updates.\nIdentify critical and near-critical activities, schedule constraints, and potential impacts to project milestones.\nAssist with analysis of schedule variances and changes to the critical path.\nWork with project teams to collect schedule information, progress data, and supporting documentation.\nAssist in preparing schedule narratives, progress reports, schedule graphics, and management presentations.\nSupport schedule impact assessments and preliminary delay analyses under the direction of senior scheduling and claims professionals.\nAssist with evaluating change orders and potential time impacts.\nReview project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, progress reports, RFIs, submittals, and change documentation, to understand project sequencing and schedule impacts.\nParticipate in project meetings and schedule review meetings with clients, contractors, designers, and other project stakeholders.\nSupport broader project controls activities, including progress measurement, reporting, cost and schedule integration, and project performance analysis.\nMaintain clear and organized documentation supporting schedule updates and analyses.\n Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.\nApproximately 2 or more years of relevant construction industry experience, preferably working for a general contractor, construction manager, or specialty contractor.\nPractical experience developing or maintaining construction schedules.\nUnderstanding of construction sequencing, project milestones, and the relationship between design, procurement, and construction activities.\nBasic understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling principles.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nAbility to organize and analyze project information and communicate findings clearly.\nProficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.\nAbility to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.\nPreferred\nExperience using Oracle Primavera P6.\nExperience with Microsoft Project or other scheduling/project controls software.\nExperience working on commercial buildings, healthcare, higher education, transportation, infrastructure, or other complex construction projects.\nExposure to schedule review, delay analysis, change-order evaluation, or construction claims.\nFamiliarity with construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation.\nEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or interest in pursuing professional certification is a plus.\nIdeal Candidate\nThe ideal candidate has started their career working directly within the construction industry and understands how projects are actually planned and built.
