The successful candidate will manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects, working closely with clients and internal teams.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects\nInteract directly with clients and manage project budgets\nCoordinate and participate in field activities, including:Logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores\nEvaluating geologic and seismic hazards\nPerforming forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes\n\nPerform engineering analyses, including:Foundation design and evaluation\nSlope stability analysis\nSettlement analysis\n\nPrepare geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports\nProvide technical support and mentorship to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians\n Required Qualifications\nCalifornia Professional Engineering (PE) license REQUIRED\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum of 5 years of geotechnical engineering experience; experience with a geotechnical consulting firm preferred.\nStrong understanding of soil mechanics, geotechnical engineering principles, and subsurface investigation methods.\nExperience with field exploration, soil classification, geotechnical analyses, and report preparation.\nAbility to perform technical calculations and interpret laboratory and field data.\nStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or related engineering discipline preferred.\nExperience with geotechnical software used for slope stability, settlement, liquefaction, and foundation analyses.\nExperience providing construction observation and geotechnical field support services.\nFamiliarity with Bay Area geologic and geotechnical conditions.\n Salary range: $100,000-135,000/year, depending on qualifications\nYour information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.\nFor more information, please visit www.socotec.us\nJob Type: Full-Time;
