We’re looking for a dedicated Site Engineer to join our Monitoring & Survey (Remote Monitoring) division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.\nWe are seeking a proactive, reliable, and flexible Site Engineer to manage site activities, ensure safe and high-quality delivery, and support site personnel. You’ll need confidence in leading teams, working independently and collaborating with clients and project teams. Experience in geotechnical and structural monitoring within construction is essential.\nThe tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):\nManaging site works safely and efficiently.\n\nInstalling and monitoring instrumentation.\n\nCoordinating programmes with clients and project teams.\n\nManaging site personnel and subcontractors.\n\nLeading briefings and shifts where required.\n\nMaintaining site records and project reports.\n\nSupporting project planning and ITP sign-offs.\n\nEnsuring health and safety compliance.\n\nReviewing monitoring data and identifying faults.\n\nImproving operational quality and efficiency.\n\n To be a successful Site Engineer, you should be able to demonstrate:\nOver five years’ experience in instrumentation and monitoring.\n\nStrong knowledge of geotechnical and structural monitoring equipment.\n\nExperience managing teams, work packages and subcontractors.\n\nExcellent communication and organisational skills.\n\nA strong commitment to health and safety and quality.\n\nAbility to interpret monitoring data and identify faults.\n\nGCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent.\n\nCSCS Supervisors/Managers Card, Sentinel Card with PTS, IOSH Managing Safely and a full UK driving licence.\n\nNVQ Level 4/EngTech and knowledge of the BlueTrust process, as specified in the role.\n\nExperience in rail infrastructure, tunnels, London Underground or drill rig operations would be advantageous.
