If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself - keep reading.\n\nAbout the Role\nWe are looking for a Senior Business Systems Engineer - Product & Engineering Platforms to own and evolve the systems that support product planning, engineering execution, portfolio management, and cross-functional delivery across Socure.\nThis role will serve as the technical owner and strategic partner for platforms such as Jira, Aha!, and related product and project management tools. You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Technical Program Management, Finance, and IT teams to translate business processes into scalable system configurations, integrations, workflows, and reporting capabilities.\nAlthough experience with Aha! is highly valuable, this role is intentionally broader than any single platform. The successful candidate will help Socure operate and improve its current toolset while also evaluating whether those tools continue to meet the company’s needs as the organization evolves.\nThis is a hands-on engineering and systems ownership role. You will be expected to understand how product and engineering teams plan and deliver work, identify where tooling or process creates friction, and implement solutions that improve visibility, data quality, governance, and execution.\nWhat You’ll Do\nOwn product and engineering platforms\nServe as the primary technical owner for Jira, Aha! and other similar platforms used for product planning, engineering execution, portfolio management, and program tracking.\n\nManage platform configuration, administration, upgrades, permissions, security, integrations, data quality, and ongoing maintenance.\n\nDesign and maintain scalable workflows, schemas, fields, templates, automations, dashboards, and reporting structures.\n\nEnsure platforms remain reliable, performant, secure, and aligned with company policies and operational needs.\n\nEstablish standards for platform configuration and reduce unnecessary customization, duplication, and process fragmentation.\n\nMaintain documentation covering platform architecture, integrations, workflows, ownership, and support procedures.\n\nPartner with Product and Engineering\nWork directly with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Technical Program Managers, Product and Tech Operations, and business leaders to understand planning and delivery needs.\n\nTranslate business requirements into practical system designs and configurations.\n\nHelp teams improve how initiatives, roadmaps, epics, dependencies, capacity, milestones, intake requests, and delivery risks are represented across systems.\n\nEnable consistent planning and reporting across product lines while allowing appropriate flexibility for different team operating models.\n\nFacilitate working sessions to identify process gaps, define requirements, and drive alignment on standardized ways of working.\n\nProvide technical guidance when teams are considering changes to workflows, taxonomies, reporting structures, or planning processes.\n\nImplement and integrate enterprise applications\nLead the implementation of new product, engineering, portfolio, and work-management capabilities.\n\nBuild and maintain integrations between platforms such as Jira, Aha!, Confluence, GitHub or GitLab, Slack, Workday, financial systems, BI tools, and other enterprise applications.\n\nUse APIs, webhooks, automation frameworks, and integration platforms to reduce manual work and improve data consistency.\n\nSupport data migrations, platform consolidations, tool replacements, and major configuration changes.\n\nDevelop testing, validation, rollback, and change-management plans for system releases.\n\nEvaluate vendor capabilities and determine whether requirements should be addressed through configuration, integration, customization, or process change.\n\nImprove governance and data quality\nDefine and enforce standards for fields, hierarchies, workflows, permissions, naming conventions, and system ownership.\n\nMonitor system usage and identify inconsistent practices, stale data, redundant fields, or configurations that create reporting gaps.\n\nBuild controls that improve the accuracy of roadmap, delivery, capacity, dependency, and financial reporting.\n\nEstablish a structured intake and prioritization process for platform enhancement requests.\n\nPartner with stakeholders to balance local team needs against enterprise-wide consistency and maintainability.\n\nPeriodically assess whether current platforms remain the right fit and contribute to future-state tooling recommendations.\n\nSupport reporting and operational visibility\nBuild dashboards and reporting capabilities that provide leadership with reliable views of roadmap progress, delivery status, dependencies, risks, capacity, and carryover.\n\nPartner with Product Operations, Engineering Operations, TPM, and Finance teams to improve portfolio and initiative-level reporting.\n\nEnsure that data used for executive, quarterly, and financial reporting is based on well-defined and consistently maintained system fields.\n\nSupport integrations with analytics and business intelligence tools where more advanced reporting is required.\n\nHelp define metrics that measure platform adoption, data quality, workflow efficiency, and operational effectiveness.\n\nLead platform adoption and support\nProvide advanced support and troubleshooting for complex platform issues.\n\nCreate reusable documentation, training materials, office hours, and guidance for Product, Engineering, and program teams.\n\nCoach system administrators and power users on effective platform usage and governance standards.\n\nCommunicate platform changes clearly and help teams transition to new workflows or capabilities.\n\nBuild a network of business owners and power users who can provide feedback and reinforce consistent practices.\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nSuccess in this role means:\nProduct and Engineering teams have reliable, well-governed systems that support how they plan and deliver work.\n\nJira, Aha!, and related platforms are configured consistently and maintained with clear ownership.\n\nRoadmap, delivery, dependency, and capacity data is accurate enough to support leadership decision-making.\n\nTeams spend less time reconciling information across tools and spreadsheets.\n\nPlatform changes are implemented through a predictable, well-documented process.\n\nIntegrations reduce manual data entry and improve consistency between product planning and engineering execution.\n\nSocure has a clear understanding of whether its current tools continue to meet future needs.\n\nThe company can evolve or replace individual platforms without losing the underlying processes, data standards, and operational capabilities.\n\nWhat You Bring\n7+ years of experience in business systems engineering, enterprise applications, IT applications, platform administration, or a related role.\n\nStrong hands-on experience implementing and administering Jira and related Atlassian products.\n\nExperience supporting product management, engineering delivery, portfolio management, or enterprise work-management platforms.\n\nExperience configuring workflows, schemas, fields, permissions, automations, dashboards, and reporting.\n\nStrong understanding of product development and software delivery processes, including roadmaps, initiatives, epics, sprints, releases, dependencies, and capacity planning.\n\nExperience gathering requirements and translating complex business processes into scalable technical solutions.\n\nExperience with APIs, webhooks, integrations, data migration, and enterprise application architecture.\n\nDemonstrated ability to manage platforms through their full lifecycle, including implementation, maintenance, upgrades, governance, support, and retirement.\n\nStrong project or program management capability, including planning, stakeholder coordination, risk management, and change management.\n\nAbility to work effectively with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, TPMs, Finance, IT, and executive stakeholders.\n\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.\n\nA bias toward standardization, maintainability, and simple solutions over unnecessary customization.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nHands-on experience with Aha! Roadmaps, Aha! Develop, Aha Ideas, or similar product portfolio management platforms.\n\nExperience with tools such as Jira Align, Productboard, Craft, Planview, Asana, Monday.com, Smartsheet, or equivalent platforms.\n\nAtlassian certifications or advanced Jira administration experience.\n\nExperience integrating Jira with GitHub, GitLab, Slack, Confluence, BI tools, or product management platforms.\n\nExperience in a SaaS, fintech, identity, risk, fraud, or regulated technology environment.\n\nFamiliarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, product operating models, and scaled planning practices.\n\nExperience supporting software capitalization, engineering capacity planning, or portfolio-level reporting.\n\nExperience evaluating and replacing enterprise platforms.\n\nScripting or automation experience using Python, JavaScript, Groovy, REST APIs, or low-code integration tools.\n\nWhy This Role Matters\nProduct and Engineering teams depend on a connected set of systems to plan work, manage priorities, coordinate dependencies, and communicate progress.
