If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself - keep reading.\n\nWe are looking for a Software Engineer II to join Socure’s global engineering team and build scalable, reliable backend systems that power our identity verification and fraud prevention products.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBuild and own backend services, REST APIs, and microservices from design through production.\n\nDevelop scalable, secure, and maintainable application-layer systems.\n\nWork on distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, messaging, retries, and fault tolerance.\n\nPartner with Product, Infrastructure, Data Science/ML, and Engineering teams.\n\nImprove performance, reliability, observability, and engineering standards.\n\nParticipate in technical design, code reviews, testing, CI/CD, and production troubleshooting.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n3+ years of professional backend software engineering experience, with experience building scalable, reliable distributed systems\n\nStrong coding skills in Go, Java, or a similar backend language.\n\nSolid computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.\n\nExperience with REST APIs, microservices, SQL/NoSQL databases, and event-driven systems.\n\nFamiliarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka/SQS/RabbitMQ, and CI/CD.\n\nStrong ownership mindset and ability to take features/services end-to-end.\n\nGood communication skills and ability to explain technical decisions and trade-offs clearly.\n\nWe value engineers who are strong in application-layer backend development, learn quickly, and enjoy solving complex problems with direct customer and business impact.\nSocure is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity in all its forms within our company.
