This position plays a crucial role in supporting risk management of 1LOD Operations. This role requires hands-on support for performing 1LOD transactional and supplier oversight testing. Achieving success in this role requires a demonstrated ability to complete all assigned testwork within the established timelines, assist the Testing Manager with the build-out of new tests and expansion of existing test scripts, and proficiently articulate exceptions and findings related to testwork. \nBy joining SoFi, you'll become part of a forward-thinking company that is transforming financial services for the better. We offer the excitement of a rapidly growing startup with the stability of an industry leading leadership team.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEnsure Operations and key suppliers have a sustainable and effective end-to-end control environment by identifying gaps and weaknesses during testing\nDocument and perform complex and high risk process and control testing to provide reasonable assurance that internal and external processes are operationally effective\nObtain and analyze test data from multiple sources, following documented test plans, testing procedures, and leveraging job aids as needed\nManage assigned testing timelines to ensure all tasks and reporting are completed within established timeframes\nApply regulatory and compliance knowledge to evaluate scenarios, assess risk implications, and inform testing conclusions\nAssist the Testing Manager in the build-out of new test scripts for previously un-tested areas, augment existing test scripts to broaden test scope while ensuring alignment with regulatory requirement, policies and business processes\nMake principle based scoring and risk decisions grounded in policy intent, evidence and data\nAssist the Testing Manager in partnering with stakeholders to offer feedback on testing results and ensure the completion of any necessary corrective actions\nCommunicate findings, risk implications to cross functional stakeholders\nDetermine when issues can be resolved independently versus escalated to management and proactively engage cross-functional stakeholders to clarify expectations, resolve issues, and communicate risk implications \nSupport the Testing Manager in monitoring changes to procedures, policies and regulatory requirements to assess their impact on the testing scope and the related test script\nCollaborate with the Testing Manager to ensure test scripts are comprehensive for identifying and mitigating respective risks effectively \nPrioritize competing responsibilities based on workload and demands\nConduct peer reviews of analyst work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to testing methodology\nProvide real time feedback, reinforcing best practices and elevating testing quality\nServe as subject matter resource to testing analysts by providing guidance on scenario interpretation, sample methodology, and evaluation.\nSupport a culture of accountability, continuous learning, and improvement within the testing team\nTrain analysts on newly designed or revised tests\nServe as a subject matter expert on complex processes, regulatory frameworks, and testing approaches\nMentor analysts to build critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills under managers guidance\nUndertake ad-hoc duties as needed to support the Operations and 1LOD Risk department\nWhat you’ll need:\n5+ years of relevant experience in audit, compliance testing, or other control/ transactional reviews \nExperience in banking and/or fintech industry; knowledge of banking products, processes and regulations covering areas such as deposit products and consumer lending products\nDemonstrate ability to apply testing methodology, regulatory knowledge and risk and control frameworks to evaluate complex scenarios and inform testing conclusions\nStrategic thinker who can partner with testing manager to build, expand and improve existing testing scripts and processes\nStrong organizational skills, able to balance multiple critical priorities simultaneously and successfully\nMaintain strong time management, able to complete multiple concurrent tasks within close deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and detail\nStrong analytical skills and ability to review and comprehend large sets of data; able to synthesize diverse processes and data and formulate appropriate conclusions\nFluent in Excel and PowerPoint, comfortable with analyzing large datasets in Google suite, MS Office apps, etc.\nResults oriented, demonstrated achievement of exceeding expectations\nAbility to work independently with minimum oversight and exercise sound, risk based judgment in ambiguous or complex scenarios\nInquisitive nature, attention to detail, diligence and a good attitude\nStrong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; capable of writing documentation, and interacting positively with management and colleagues effectively via telephone (Zoom)\nDemonstrated outlook of positive and productive relationships and successful partnerships with stakeholders\nDemonstrated ability to coach, mentor and review peers with a focus on accuracy and development\nCompensation and Benefits\nThe base pay range for this role is listed below.
