We foster a collaborative, international environment where innovation, ownership, and continuous learning are at the heart of everything we do.\nWhat you'll do...\nAs a Platform Engineer at Sofico, you’ll directly contribute to modernizing critical infrastructure, scaling a cloud-first platform, and enabling seamless experiences for top-tier automotive and mobility customers worldwide. \nYou’ll join ourPlatform Operations Team or Platform Engineering Team, part of Sofico’s global Platform organization. We’re a close-knit group of engineers spread across multiple time zones, who collaborate daily to build and maintain the backbone of Sofico’s solutions. \nThe work can be challenging, but what makes it worth it is the bond we share: we support each other, share laughs along the way, and always have each other’s back.\nIn Belgium: In our Ghent office, you would become part of a global team, collaborating with people all around the world.\nYour responsibilities include:\n Setting up and managing scalable infrastructure (e.g. VM’s, Spoke’s, peering, firewall, …) in Azure,\nThrough automation using Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps.\nMonitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining infrastructure f or global customers.\nZabbix, OpsGenie, Prometheus, Grafana, FluentBit & Loki\nSetting up and maintaining Site-2-Site IPSEC VPN tunnels between our infrastructure and our customers.\n Setting up and maintaining Cloudflare (WAF, tunnel, DNS, custom hostnames, …)\nManaging global firewall, networks ranges and availability.\nSupporting customers & other Sofico teams directly and providing technical consulting.\nModernising legacy components into scalable, cloud-native solutions.\nSharing knowledge within the team and across Sofico.\nWhat you'll bring...\nWe’re aiming high because we want the best, but what’s on your resume isn’t everything. You don’t need to tick every box, but if you recognize yourself in most of these:\nProven experience with at least one cloud provider, preferable Azure but others providers can be useful as well (AWS, OCI, …). Azure is our main stack, so proven Azure knowledge is a great advantage.\n\nProven experience with Linux systems (& commands).\nExperience with Firewall tool (e.g. Fortinet, Fortimanager, Forti analyser)\nExtended networking knowledge (DNS, Firewall, VDom, Adom, routing, Cloudflare…)\nStrong communicator, comfortable explaining infra topics to technical and non-technical audiences.\nCustomer-oriented: able to jump on a call, ask the right questions, and solve problems.\nAnalytical mindset with attention to detail.\nCurious, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies.\nA true team player who enjoys helping colleagues succeed.\nFluent in English, any other language is a plus. \nWhat's in it for you ... \nJoin an international, multicultural company with more than 35 years of experience, which doubles in size every 5 years.
