We are currently seeking a Maintnance Technician - Electrical to to join our Maintenance department in Shelby, NC.\nThis position is responsible for all electrical functions of machines and equipment across the paper facility including preventive and non-preventive maintenance.\nJob Responsibilities\nPerform installation, configuration and troubleshooting of photo eyes, proximity switches, limit switches, PLC input/output modules and all associated control wiring\nConfigure, troubleshoot, and repair motors, motor control centers, variable frequency drives and soft-starts up to 4160 Volt\nMaintain and troubleshoot position feedback devices encoders, load cells, hydraulic systems, natural gas burners and boiler control systems\nInstallation, calibration and troubleshooting of pressure, level, flow, temperature, consistency, conductivity, turbidity, and pH transmitters.\nTuning of process control loops and machine control systems.\nProgramming and troubleshooting of DCS, PLC and HMI interfaces.\nPerform configuration and logic modifications to DCS and PLC control systems. Modifications will include programming in ladder logic, block logic. sequential logic and statement logic.\nTroubleshoot and diagnose configuration and implementation of integrated and stand-alone graphic human machine interfaces.\nTroubleshoot and diagnose specification of communication protocols, including Profibus, serial and industrial Ethernet.\nDiagnose and perform preventive maintenance on Laser Guided Vehicles and associated conveyors and equipment. \nHold self and others to high level of safety standards, ensuring workplace safety policies are upheld and safety rules are followed (lockout/tagout procedures, appropriate PPE)\nParticipate as needed in safety incidents and help investigate root cause\nEnsure work environment is clean and free from debris\nJob Requirements\nHigh School Diploma or Equivalent required\nMinimum 3 years demonstrated electrical experience or 2 years of related education in lieu of experience required\nDemonstrated experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), pneumatics, or hydraulic systems required \nExperienced in working with computerized maintenance system preferred\nExperience with troubleshooting and performing maintenance on packaging equipment in a manufacturing environment preferred\nThorough understanding of manufacturing safety procedures (lockout/tagout, confine spaces, personal protective equipment, etc.) preferred\nPLC programming preferred\nWelding and machining preferred\nAbility to work on a variety of machines (Perini & ChinLee rewinders, UNO wrappers, Infinity wrappers, folded machines, etc.) preferred\nForklift/Clamp truck certified preferred\nCompany Benefits\nCompetitive hourly wages\nComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance\n401(k) plan with company match\nPaid time off and holidays\nCareer development within a growing global organization\nA values-driven culture focused on safety, innovation, and sustainability \nWork Environment\nAble to work in a physically demanding environment including temperature extremes, loud noise, avoiding slipping, tripping, and falling hazards \nAble to wear and comply with all personal protective equipment (Eye and ear protection, steel toed shoes, etc.)\nAble to lift, up to 40 lbs frequently, between 40 and 50 lbs occasionally, over 50 lbs minimally.
