You’ll play a key role in reducing downtime, improving machine performance, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.\nMAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES\nProvide first hand intervention when there is a mechanical breakdown and assist with troubleshooting of equipment problems\nRepair and perform preventive maintenance as per established standards and plans\nTo check equipment and operating systems and correct wherever necessary\nTo ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at high quality\nComplete maintenance care obligations and render assistance in equipment repair as necessary\nTo perform quality improvement and cost reduction and productivity as obligated\nTo oversee mechanical devices while in operation and listen for complications using accurate testing and measuring instruments\nTo take out inoperative parts by disassembling devices with the use specific tools\nRegulate downtime by enlightening production staff on standard preventive maintenance methods\nMaintain records and files if requested\nTo participate in emergency on-call duty on a rotational basis and work all shifts flexibly when job demands\nEnsure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift\nTo ensure health & safety rules are adhered to\nREQUIREMENTS\nProven hands-on experience within a manufacturing environment\nRecognised apprenticeship or degree within the field of : mechanical engineering/electrical engineering/engineering\nFMCG / Heavy industry experience\nAtleast 4 years of experience\nWORKING HOURS\n42 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:30\nPACKAGE / BENEFITS\n£20.84 per hour \n21 days annual leave + Bank Holidays\nLife Assurance Scheme**\nSalary Sacrifice Pension\nPrivate Healthcare **\nAttendance bonus*\nDiscounted Staff shop \nFree car parking\n*Subject to a full years completion January -
