# Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician – Hatchery – Wynyard, Saskatchewan Job purpose The Hatchery Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing hatchery equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted hatchery operations. This role performs preventive maintenance, responds to equipment breakdowns, and supports continuous improvement initiatives to maximize hatchability, biosecurity, safety, and operational reliability. This role works closely with all other hatchery functions and external contractors to maintain critical systems including incubation equipment, HVAC systems, water treatment equipment, electrical systems, conveyors, generators, and mechanical equipment. Duties and Responsibilities Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities according to established maintenance programs, including maintaining records and work orders. Identify equipment failures and recommend corrective actions. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
