Would you like to work with real industrial products where software, electrical engineering and physical systems come together?\nWe are looking for a Control Software Engineer to join our customer project in Helsinki. You will work with advanced control solutions for electrical energy systems, power converters and industrial drives.\nThis role is a particularly good match for someone who has a background combining software engineering and electrical engineering. You can already be an experienced professional, but the position is also reachable for mid-junior engineers with a relevant educational background and a solid foundation in both areas.\nAs a Control Software Engineer\nYou will work at the intersection of embedded software, power electronics and control systems as part of a larger industrial R&D environment. The work follows a hybrid model, with a minimum of two days per week onsite in Helsinki Metropolitan area.\nYour work can include:\nDeveloping embedded control software for industrial drives and power conversion systems\n\nDeveloping software using C, C++ and python.\n\nWorking with control algorithms and control loops\n\nTesting and verifying software and control functionality\n\nWorking together with software, electrical and control engineering professionals\n\nWhat are we looking for?\nThe key to this role is a combination of software development skills and a genuine foundation in electrical power and control engineering. Excellent communication skills in English is also mandatory, Finnish skills a big plus.\nOn the software side, we hope you have:\nSolid experience and knowledge of C and C++\n\nKnowledge of Python\n\nExperience with Git version control\n\nBasic understanding of software testing methods\n\nOn the electrical and control engineering side, you should have a good understanding of:\nPower electronics and electrical power engineering fundamentals\n\nControl engineering and control loops\n\nFeedback and feedforward control principles\n\nStability and dynamic performance of control systems\n\nConcepts such as inverters, rectifiers, DC/DC converters and switching power supplies\n\nIt’s a great plus if you also have familiarity with:\nUnit testing and HIL testing\n\nContinuous integration, Azure DevOps and Jenkins\n\nStatic code analysis\n\nEmbedded software development in large, multi-team R&D organizations\n\nYou do not need to be an expert in everything listed above.
