THE ROLE\n\nIn this role, you will work as a Senior Full-Stack Java Engineer on large-scale corporate systems supporting calls, proposals, grants, audits, and funding management within a European public-sector environment.\n\nYou will develop and maintain secure, scalable applications across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, cloud, and CI/CD while also contributing to code reviews, mentoring, requirements refinement, and production support.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nDevelop and maintain front-end and back-end application components\n\nImplement business logic, responsive UI, APIs, and database interactions\n\nDesign and secure RESTful APIs and web services\n\nApply security best practices for authentication, authorization, storage, logging, and monitoring\n\nPerform unit and integration testing, debugging, and production troubleshooting\n\nDeploy applications using cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes\n\nMonitor lower environments, performance, and application stability\n\nPerform code reviews and support technical onboarding and mentoring\n\nCollaborate with QA teams and participate in requirements refinement and estimation\n\nMaintain technical documentation and code quality standards\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\nUniversity degree corresponding to EQF Level 6, typically a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent\n\n7+ years of professional IT experience\n\nStrong Java backend expertise with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and REST API development\n\nStrong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS\n\nExperience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization\n\nExperience with WebLogic, JEE, and EJB\n\nExperience with AWS or Azure and cloud application deployment\n\nExperience designing and securing REST APIs with OpenAPI/Swagger\n\nStrong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and JWT\n\nKnowledge of Angular, React, Vue, or Bootstrap\n\nExperience with Maven, GitLab, Bamboo, Jenkins, Nexus, or similar CI/CD and build tools\n\nExperience with Jira, Git, Bitbucket, and wiki-based collaboration tools\n\nExperience with Docker and Kubernetes\n\nKnowledge of SOA and service bus architectures\n\nExperience with Agile and Scrum\n\nExperience with JUnit and Mockito\n\nExperience with SonarQube, SonarLint, HP Fortify, or similar code analysis tools\n\nExperience with Apache Camel\n\nExperience with Drools or similar rule engines\n\nExperience with AI coding tools such as Amazon Q or Kiro\n\nKnowledge of system analysis and project management will be a plus\n\nStrong
