You will work within SoftServe’s FinOps practice, delivering structured client engagements that move from cost visibility and savings identification to full governance and operating model implementation.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nMonitor Cloud spend and perform cost anomaly detection, investigation, and resolution across accounts and services\n\nConduct root cause analysis on cost variances and unexpected spend spikes, providing actionable recommendations to engineering and business teams\n\nIdentify and coordinate implementation of cost optimization opportunities including rightsizing, reserved instance planning, savings plans, and idle resource elimination\n\nDevelop and maintain robust BI dashboards and reports to support chargeback, showback, and cost allocation visibility across teams and business units\n\nLeverage Cloud Cost Tools for cost tracking, tagging compliance, allocation reporting, and budget forecasting\n\nEnsure consistent tagging governance across Cloud resources to enable accurate cost distribution and chargeback\n\nCollaborate with Finance and Business teams to align cloud spend with budgets and forecasts\n\nCollaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, quality, and availability.\n\nDocument business requirements, process flows, and reporting specifications.\n\nSupport ad‑hoc analysis and provide clear, concise data-driven recommendations.\n\nPrepare and deliver clear, executive-ready PowerPoint presentations summarizing cost trends, anomalies, optimization outcomes, and FinOps KPIs\n\nSupport onboarding of new teams to DataBricks and other Cloud providers by providing cost estimates, sizing guidance, and tagging requirements\n\nRequirements\n\n3+ years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, or Cloud Analytics role\n\nHands-on experience with AWS cost management tools (Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, Cost and Usage Reports),\n\nMandatory practical knowledge of Databricks, including its usage patterns, and cost management\n\nSQL Proficiency for querying cost and usage datasets\n\nAdvanced BI development skills — including data modeling and dashboard design\n\nStrong ability to build polished PowerPoint presentations for both technical and executive audiences\n\nExperience with cost anomaly detection and root cause analysis in complex, multi-cloud environments\n\nSolid understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Databricks on AWS, etc.) and their cost drivers, DataBricks\n\nExperience with AWS, Databricks cost management and usage based charge back models; familiarity with GCP cost management is a plus but not mandatory\n\nStrong communication skills with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical stakeholders\n\nSoftServe is an equal opportunity employer.
