Senior Data Solution Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Solution Architect with strong experience designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective data and cloud solutions.

This role requires more than theoretical architecture knowledge. The ideal candidate must be able to understand the business and technical context, evaluate alternatives, define an appropriate architecture, and clearly explain the reasoning, assumptions, trade-offs, challenges, outcomes, and lessons learned behind previous solutions.

The successful candidate will combine strategic architectural thinking with hands-on technical capability and will be comfortable working across cloud platforms, data integration technologies, and enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

· Design end-to-end data and cloud architectures aligned with business goals, technical requirements, security standards, scalability needs, and cost considerations.

· Translate business requirements and complex technical challenges into practical architecture proposals.

· Define solution patterns, integration strategies, data flows, technical standards, and implementation roadmaps.

· Design and implement scalable ETL and ELT architectures across cloud services, data platforms, and enterprise applications.

· Architect cloud-based data solutions using services such as AWS S3, Lambda, Glue, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, IAM, and related technologies.

· Design and orchestrate data transformation workflows using technologies such as Apache Airflow and dbt.

· Design, manage, and optimize enterprise data warehouse and analytics solutions using Snowflake or comparable technologies.

· Evaluate architectural options and clearly communicate technical decisions, assumptions, risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.

· Create and maintain architecture documentation, including solution diagrams, integration patterns, data flows, and technical standards.

· Define governance, security, access management, monitoring, logging, and observability strategies.

· Support infrastructure automation through Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.

· Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, engineering teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.

· Provide technical leadership and guidance during solution design and implementation.

· Contribute directly to technical activities when needed, including scripting, coding, configuration, troubleshooting, cloud operations, and proof-of-concept development.

· Support CI/CD practices to automate build, testing, and deployment processes.

· Analyze system performance and data processing workloads to identify optimization opportunities.

Required Qualifications

· Strong professional experience in Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Cloud Architecture, or a comparable technical leadership role.

· Solid experience designing enterprise data platforms, data integrations, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouses.

· Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.

· Strong knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFormation, VPC, and related services.

· Experience with modern data technologies such as Snowflake, dbt, Apache Airflow, AWS Glue, or comparable platforms.

· Experience designing scalable, serverless, event-driven, and cloud-native solutions.

· Understanding of data modeling, database design, integration patterns, security, governance, and performance optimization.

· Experience with Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.

· Programming or scripting experience using one or more languages such as Python, Java, C#, SQL, or equivalent.

· Ability to create clear technical documentation and architecture diagrams.

· Experience working within Agile and software development lifecycle practices.

· Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken.

· Knowledge of microservices, domain-driven design, event-driven architectures, serverless architectures, CQRS, and event sourcing.

· Experience leading technical teams or serving as a technical advisor to engineering teams.

· Experience developing proofs of concept and validating technologies before implementation.

· Familiarity with backlog management and delivery tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

· Relevant cloud, architecture, data, or Agile certifications.
