As a Front End Engineer you will build and improve web applications used by non-technical users, including doctors and end consumers. Your main focus will be implementing and evolving the front-end user experience in React, ensuring a smooth, intuitive UX and reliable integration with back-end services that power access to healthcare data.

What you will do

• Build and maintain responsive, accessible user interfaces using React and TypeScript.
• Implement UI based on designs and specifications, collaborating closely with product designers and product managers.
• Apply strong design judgment to refine UI details, improve usability, and ensure a polished, consistent user experience across screens and workflows.
• Develop reusable UI components and contribute to consistent UI patterns across the product (experience with design systems/component libraries is a plus).
• Integrate front-end features with back-end services and REST APIs to ensure reliable application behavior (including loading, error, and empty states).
• Ensure front-end quality through testing, debugging, and troubleshooting (experience with automated testing is a plus).
• Optimize front-end performance and ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility.
• Follow best practices for security and privacy when handling user data.
• Collaborate with back-end engineers, QA, and product to ship improvements iteratively.

Expectations - the experience you need

• BS/MS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Engineering field.
• 7+ years of industry experience as a Front End Engineer building web applications.
• Strong proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React).
• Strong product and design sensibility, with the ability to build polished, intuitive interfaces and make thoughtful UI/UX decisions when designs are incomplete or evolving.
• Solid understanding of component architecture, maintainable front-end patterns, and working with APIs.
• Experience integrating with REST APIs and handling real-world edge cases.
• Knowledge of front-end performance optimization techniques and best practices.
• Familiarity with modern front end build tools and workflows (e.g., Vite, Webpack; experience with modern tooling is a plus).
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to collaborate in a cross-functional team.
• Creativity in problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Figma or similar design tools is a plus.
• An independent, driven approach with a demonstrated ability to take ownership and execute autonomously.
• A business-oriented mindset and comfort operating within a fast-paced startup environment.
