Within this framework, we work on projects on a national and international level with our dedicated employees.\nOur expertise: aerostructure and systems installation, aircraft interiors, industrialization, configuration management, management and operations consulting, product and process performance, digital transformation, operational excellence, environmental transition.\nOur values:\n- Trust and team spirit\n- Performance and innovation\n- Responsibility and commitment\n- Fairness and ethics in business\nTo ensure continuity within our Configuration Management activities, we are looking for an experienced Configuration Manager (m/w/d) to our team in Hamburg, Germany.\nIn this role, you will take responsibility for Configuration Management and Engineering Change activities within an Airbus-related aerospace environment.\nYou will act as a central point of contact for configuration-related topics and coordinate closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, suppliers and customers.\nYour focus will be on ensuring that configuration baselines, technical changes and associated documentation are properly assessed, coordinated, implemented and traceable throughout the product lifecycle.\nThe position offers a high degree of autonomy and ownership within an established project environment.\nYour responsibilities\nManage Configuration Management activities within Airbus-related projects\nCoordinate engineering changes from initiation through assessment, approval, implementation and closure\nEnsure completeness, quality, consistency and traceability of configuration and change documentation\nPrepare and coordinate changes for Change Control Boards (CCB)\nCoordinate technical, industrial, planning, cost and customer inputs related to engineering changes\nAct as a central interface between engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, suppliers and customers\nMonitor configuration baselines, applicability, modification status and associated technical documentation\nSupport aircraft modification, customization, production and delivery configuration activities\nIdentify configuration risks, inconsistencies and dependencies and coordinate appropriate corrective actions\nMonitor relevant KPIs and support workload and performance reporting\nContribute to continuous improvement of Configuration Management and Engineering Change Management processes\nEnsure continuity and reliable execution of established Configuration Management activities within the project\nRequirements\nRequired:\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a comparable technical field\nMinimum 3 years of proven practical experience in Airbus Configuration Management\nExperience with Configuration Management and/or Engineering Change Management\nExperience working with complex technical products and multidisciplinary engineering environments\nGood understanding of configuration baselines, product structures, technical documentation and change processes\nAbility to independently coordinate configuration-related topics\nStrong analytical and organizational skills\nStrong stakeholder-management and communication skills\nFluent English; German is an advantage\nWhat you bring\nHands-on Airbus Configuration Management experience is essential for this position.\nYou have already worked in an Airbus-related configuration environment and are comfortable handling configuration and engineering change topics independently.\nExperience level\nWe value relevant Airbus Configuration Management experience over a specific number of years.\nYou do not need to have a long-standing senior or lead profile.
