As we continue to expand, we’re building a team of exceptional people who share our ambition to transform the future of global payments.\n\nKey Responsibilities\r\n\nOwn the full lifecycle of software engineering, from initial design and development through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance in production.\n\nCollaborate with PMs, designers, and cross-functional teams to shape and refine feature requirements, ensuring alignment with business and user needs.\n\nLead architectural decisions, ensuring that solutions are scalable, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices.\n\nDrive the operational success of features by establishing monitoring, alerting, and support processes to ensure reliability and responsiveness.\n\nMentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.\n\nParticipate in code reviews, ensuring that team members adhere to high standards for quality, security, and performance.\n\nActively engage in troubleshooting and incident response to address production issues, continually learning from these experiences to improve future resilience.\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Python, Flask, FastAPI, AWS, Angular, React and SQL databases.\n\nOptimize application performance, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.\n\nStay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, advocating for their application when they benefit the organization.\n\nRequired Qualifications\r\n\nMinimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of end-to-end feature ownership and delivery in production environments.\n\nFamiliarity with modern frameworks, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines that support full lifecycle engineering.\n\nStrong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions that are scalable and maintainable.\n\nExperience managing both the development and operational aspects of software, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalability.\n\nExcellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.\n\nA proactive mindset for identifying potential improvements, optimizations, and innovations.\n\nPrior experience in a senior role with responsibilities for mentoring or guiding other team members.\n\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).\n\nPlease note, candidates will need to have the right to work in the jurisdiction that they are looking to work in.\n\nSokin is an equal opportunities employer and committed to maintaining an inclusive work environment.
