Reporting to the Director of Finance, this developing position will be part of a team of dynamic professionals, working on a large variety of tasks. If you are looking to continue your career in the technology industry, are full of energy, like working in a fluid and fast-paced environment and have excellent attention to detail, then we should speak.\nWhat You’ll Do\nManage end-to-end payroll processing, including calculation of wages, deductions, tax withholdings, and issuance of payments to employees and government agencies.\nEnsure all payroll withholdings/remittances are accurately processed and filed in a timely manner.\nProcess Canadian and international payrolls while working with local payroll providers in foreign jurisdictions to ensure compliance with local government regulations and company policies.\nProcess, record, and reconcile payroll transactions in the accounting system, including WSIB, EHT, and other payroll-related accruals.\nMaintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledger entries, and account reconciliations.\nAssist with payroll and financial audits as required.\nAssist with period-end closing procedures, including month-end payroll accruals and performing variance analysis of month-to-month changes.\nRequired Skills\n2+ years’ of work experience in a payroll and accounting role.\nBasic accounting knowledge and ability to record payroll transactions.\nIntermediate Microsoft Excel experience (pivot tables, sumifs, etc).\nHigh attention to accuracy and detail in working processes and reports.\nAbility to multitask, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.\nExcellent written and oral communication skills.\nDesired Skills and Certifications\nPayroll related certification (PCP) - completed or in progress - is an asset.\nExperience with International payroll is desired.\nEducational background in accounting is an asset.\nWhy You’ll Love Working at Solace\nAt Solace, we’re all about smart people, meaningful work, and good vibes.\nWork with brilliance- Our team is packed with some of the sharpest minds in the industry.\nBalance matters- We believe work should fit into your life, not the other way around.\nHybrid-first- Flexibility is built into how we work, so everyone feels included and empowered.\nValues-driven- We live and breathe our core values: craftsmanship, trust, courage, freedom, momentum, humility, and human experience.\nGrowth mindset- Our training programs are designed to help you level up, fast.\nCustomer Obsessed- We’re proud of our world-class customer lineup (we’re not shy about it).\nKeep it fun- We’re social, we keep things simple, and we know how to have a good time.\nCreative culture- We’ve got a great sense of humour and we make cool videos on topics like MITT and this (check them out!).\nRole Status: EXISTING\nExpected Salary Range: Expected salary range for this role is from $65,000-75,000.
