Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nJob description summary\nThis is an entry level manufacturing position in the Paint department at the Solar Turbines Caterpillar facility in Wamego, KS.\nWhat You Will Do\nAs a Blaster/Paint Prep at Solar Turbines you will be required to:\nComplete all tasks involved with the prepping product for paint.\nPrepping parts for blasting (covering/plugging machined surfaces and taped holes)\nPart prep for painting (Cleaning off debris, taping off no paint areas, apply seam sealer/caulking)\nAssemble parts before and after painting to final assembly\nVerifies conformance of finished work piece to specs\nAble to be respirator certified to operate the blast booth.\nRequired Qualifications\nAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, manuals\nRegularly required to handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms\nOccasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk and hear\nOccasionally you must lift and or move up to 35 lbs.\nSpecific vision requirements include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus\nWork environment is typical shop environment - exposure to moving mechanical parts, exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration\nSafely use overhead lifting devices \nVisa Sponsorship is not available for this position.\nSummary Pay Range:\n$16.81 - $25.21Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
