Strong customer interaction skills, ability to identify and solve problems independently and computer literacy are critical for success.\nWorking in a team environment is critical and providing direction to others with different cultural and technical backgrounds is necessary for success.\nThis position directly reports to the Facility Operations and Planning Manager.\nThe position is located in DeSoto and is not a remote position.\nRelocation assistance is not available.\nTHIS IS A 3RD SHIFT POSITION.\nWhat you will do:\nUse hand and power tools as well as other equipment to perform carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pipefitting, painting, HVAC and other repairs and maintenance. \nKnowledge in the use and application of basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.\nProvide emergency/unscheduled support for repairs of production equipment.\nCarry out general building maintenance tasks as directed, including lamp replacement, basic construction, painting, overhead doors, plumbing, and basic preventative maintenance.\nAdheres to established industry and enterprise standards, policies and practices relating to safety, quality, schedule, cost, accounting, purchasing and regulatory compliance in performing assigned duties.\nParticipate in the implementation of Continuous Improvements (CI) projects, space planning projects and capital projects.\nCommunicate effectively with both internal and external customers.\nConducts and completes on-the-job training and technical self-study programs for career development.\nWhat you will have:\nOne (1) to three (3) years of experience in general maintenance or facility maintenance.\nWorking knowledge of maintenance lift equipment, forklifts, and material handling equipment.\nUnderstanding of lockout / tagout procedures.\nAccurately document maintenance activities and log work order completion.\nAssist and support more Senior technicians with the completion of production or facility projects.\nMaintain a safe work environment by documenting and correcting potential safety issues and complying with all safety regulations.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nWorking knowledge of MS Office Applications.\nWhat will set you apart :\nFamiliarity with modern construction, building codes and practices.\nKnowledgeable in cutting, grinding, welding, and fabrication.\nAbility to read and understand mechanical, electrical, and building drawings and schematics.\nIdentify, specify, source and order supplies and equipment.\nWorking knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) systems.\nThis Job Description is intended as a general guide to the job duties for this position and is intended for the purpose of establishing the specific salary grade.
