Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nNATURE AND SCOPE:\nPerform complete and independent setup of various machine tools and perform any operation within the machine's capacity, working from prints, programs, sketches, oral and written instructions to determine the sequence of operations to be performed, dimensions and tolerances to be held, tools to use, method of locating, aligning, and holding work, and feeds and speeds. Make machine adjustments for efficient machining operations. Use precision measuring instruments, machines and gauges to check own work for conformance to specifications. As required, pre-set and/or sharpen cutting tools. Order or request shop supplies, machine replacement parts, etc. Must be able to set up and operate all machining equipment in the machine shop or in the area assigned.\nJob Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:\nSet up and operate the U5 CNC Milling Machine to machine large fabricated components and weldments to print requirements.\nPerform machine setup, work offset verification, tooling selection, and fixture alignment on the U5 milling machine.\nExecute milling, drilling, boring, facing, and related machining operations while maintaining required tolerances and quality standards.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, process sheets, and work instructions to determine machining requirements.\nVerify dimensions using precision measuring equipment and make machine offsets or program adjustments as required.\nPerform in-process inspections and ensure completed parts meet all quality requirements.\nTroubleshoot machining, tooling, and program-related issues to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.\nRequired Qualifications:\nExperience setting up and operating CNC machining equipment.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.\nExperience using precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment.\nKnowledge of CNC programming, offsets, tooling, and machine setup.\nExperience operating a U5 CNC Milling Machine or similar large CNC milling equipment preferred.\nTop Candidates:\n3+ years of machining experience in a heavy fabrication or manufacturing environment.\nExperience setting up and operating a U5 CNC Milling Machine.\nExperience machining large weldments, bases, modules, and structural components.\nAbility to edit programs, troubleshoot machining issues, and optimize cycle times.\nKnowledge of G-code, FeatureCAM, and CNC machining best practices.\nAll eligible candidates MUST pass the following pre-employment screenings before they can be hired to any position:\nBackground Screening \nPhysical and drug/alcohol screening\nSummary Pay Range:\n$28.57 - $42.85Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-relatedknowledge, skills, individual performance and experience.
