Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.\nAbout the Role:\nSupport all areas of the gas turbine business by developing and implementing production plans, repairs, and solutions for a wide variety of parts required across the gas turbine packages.\nWhat You Will Do:\nMaintain, update, and create manufacturing production planning for a large variety of gas turbine engine and package parts.\nProvide manufacturing services to other Solar Turbines CAMs and Suppliers who are at capacity.\nSupport Repair Development Engineers to create new repair plans for overhaul engine parts.\nCreate instruction sheets and Baan production orders to repair and create gas turbine parts.\nSource materials for part creation and repairs.\nWork with supply chain engineers to create 3rd party manufacturing plans.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings to create adequate manufacturing plans.\nApply ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing to manufacturing plans.\nUse trigonometry and machining fundamentals to calculate appropriate parallelism, and runout conditions needed machine sand-castings and forgings to engineering specification.\nUse a combination of engineering and machining fundamentals to propose acceptance or repair of discrepant parts to MRB design engineers.\nRead and interpret CMM reports.\nSupport multiple shifts of shop floor mechanics and machinists with technical solutions to improve ergonomics, reduce cycle time, and reduce tooling.\nSupport on-time-delivery of turbine parts by maintaining frequent verbal communication between supervisors, team leads, and schedulers.\nCover for other manufacturing engineers when team members are absent.\nLead containment, root-cause, and corrective action for all high frequency defects, escapes, and scrap parts in a timely manner.\nInterface closely with machinists to create appropriate work holding, time standards, and routings.\nUse Creo Parametric CAD software to interrogate part dimensions and create internal and external manufacturing planning drawings.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline; 7+ years of experience in machining in lieu of a degree \nKnowledge of machining manufacturing operations.\nProficiencies in Baan, Creo, Windchill, SFIS, GD&T, 3D modeling - Creo preferred.\nEffective communication skills (written and verbal)\nAbility to be a team player.\nPossess emotional intelligence to understand team dynamics\nProficient knowledge in non-standard fixturing methods\nPreferred Qualifications\nProficiency in Creo Parametric\nProficiency in ASME Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing\nVisa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
