Daily responsibilities include interpreting tool orders for critical information, developing tooling concepts, reviewing concepts with internal customers, creating manufacturing drawings, monitoring performance to estimated hours, and communicating with fabrication personnel to ensure a quality project result.\nWhat You Will Do:\nProvides solutions to a variety of problems relating to tool manufacturing using standard techniques\nIncreased ability to participate on teams using 6 Sigma tools to solve problems\nAble to support most daily technical production needs\nResponsible for individual parts or subassemblies in support of overall project goals\nResearching new materials and competitive products\nDeveloping and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents\nParticipating in Make-Buy analysis for product components\nAssists in designing 3D models using Creo Parametric\nPerforms basic FEA using Ansys Workbench\nComputer-Aided Design & Engineering\nProduct Testing\nTroubleshooting Technical Problems\nDocuments common hardware, software and communications problems and likely resolutions\nTroubleshoots typical technical problems in a specific area\nWorks with vendor-specific diagnostic guides, tools and utilities to discover application problems\nAdheres to standard troubleshooting procedures to ensure effectiveness of resolutions\nParticipates in setting evaluation standards and criterion for troubleshooting\nRequired:\n2+ years of professional CAD software experience, Creo Parametric preferred.\n3+ years of manufacturing experience.\nPrevious shop floor experience.\nProfessional application of ANSY Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.\nDesired:\nKnowledge of the general principles, theories, and concepts of tool design including a good working knowledge of the accepted shop practices, methods, and techniques relating to tooling, part production, and assembly\nGood knowledge of Creo Parametric modeling and drawing layouts\nWorking knowledge of GD&T and its application in gages and fixtures\n1+ years design engineering experience.\nPTC Windchill, Creo Parametric, Excel\nPrevious tool-die-maker experience\nBachelor's degree in engineering, mechanical engineering preferred.\nVisa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
