You'll lead the team technically and professionally, while staying close to the architecture and design decisions that shape our platform infrastructure for years to come.\nBy joining us, you’ll have the chance to be involved from the early stages of architecture & design planning, through software development and testing phases up to integration within SolarEdge Embedded Software products, infrastructures, and field deployment.\nWhat you'll be doing in this position:\nYou will lead the core services development of a modern, state-of-the-art, Embedded Linux-based Platform that drives SolarEdge next-generation products.\nYou will lead a team of software engineers in creating complex solutions and delivering great results\nYou will be in charge of recruiting, training and leading new team members while shaping the standards of the team\nYou will use modern technologies and management methodologies\nRequirements\nB.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\n5+ years of embedded software development experience, with a strong focus on modern C++.\n2+ years of team leading experience, managing a team of at least 5 software engineers.\nStrong experience developing software for Linux-based systems, with a solid understanding of Linux internals and embedded Linux build systems.\nExperience designing and developing infrastructure and system-level software as an abstracted Linux platform layer for application teams.\nExperience working in multi-process and multi-threaded environments.\nStrong understanding of software architecture, design principles, and scalable system development.\nExperience with network communication protocols and distributed systems.\nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies.\nStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nSelf-motivated, with strong learning capabilities and a continuous-improvement mindset.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with wireless and connectivity technologies such as Wi-Fi, cellular, BLE, or Sub-GHz communication.\nExperience with serial communication protocols, including CAN bus and RS485.\nFamiliarity with IPC mechanisms: MQTT, ZeroMQ, gRPC.\nExperience with Protocol Buffers (Protobuf).\nExperience with embedded Linux build systems such as Yocto or Buildroot.\nExperience with cybersecurity features for IoT devices: HTTPS, Secure Boot, Secure Storage.\nExperience designing service-oriented or microservices-based architectures.\nExperience building secure communication solutions for connected devices.\nExperience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and modern software engineering practices.\nSolarEdge recognizes its talented and diverse workforce as a key competitive advantage.
