We are seeking an FPGA Designer to join our HW team. In this role, you will design and develop high-performance FPGA solutions for control systems and inter-device communication. You will take ownership of complex hardware designs involving board-level integration, chip-to-chip communication, and high-speed serial protocols. This position requires strong technical expertise in digital design, communication protocols, and self-motivation to drive projects from concept to implementation.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, and optimize FPGA implementations for control and communication applications using industry-standard hardware description languages (Verilog preferred) \nArchitect and implement high-speed communication protocols including line-to-line and chip-to-chip communication interfaces \nDevelop SPI (Serial Peripheral Interface) controllers and asynchronous communication modules operating up to 100 Mbps \nIntegrate Ethernet connectivity and MAC layer functionality into FPGA designs \nCollaborate with embedded, hardware and PCB design teams to ensure seamless board-level integration \nDesign PCB layouts for FPGA peripheral ICs and related components \nPerform hands-on PCB-level testing, design validation, and debugging \nDevelop and execute comprehensive test plans and verification strategies for FPGA designs \nCreate detailed technical documentation including design specifications, timing diagrams, and implementation reports \nPerform timing analysis, simulation, and synthesis to optimize design performance and resource utilization \nWork independently on assigned projects while maintaining quality standards and project schedules \nMentor junior engineers and share technical knowledge with the team \nRequirements\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Ethernet MAC integration and high-speed serial protocols (GigE, 10GbE) \nHands-on experience with board design and PCB layout considerations for high-speed signals \nExperience with power management and low-latency control systems \nKnowledge of hardware security and encrypted communication protocols \nExperience with simulation and testing tools \nFamiliarity with agile development practices \nPrevious experience in the renewable energy or power electronics
