The role offers hands-on exposure to the full investment lifecycle, from identifying acquisition opportunities and engaging with founders to evaluating businesses and supporting transaction execution. As part of a lean, entrepreneurial team, you will work directly with investment professionals in the U.S and globally, take ownership of meaningful projects, and contribute to real investment decisions. This is an opportunity for someone passionate about investing, technology, and entrepreneurship to develop strong analytical and commercial skills while helping build Solen's presence in the region.\nKey Responsibilities\nIdentify, research, and evaluate potential B2B software acquisition targets across North America.\nConduct market research and industry analyses to identify attractive software verticals and investment opportunities.\nSupport deal sourcing efforts, maintain the investment pipeline, and help develop relationships with founders, entrepreneurs, and advisors.\nAnalyze business models, competitive positioning, financial performance, and growth opportunities.\nSupport financial modeling, valuation analyses, and investment return assessments.\nPrepare company profiles, investment materials, and internal presentations.\nParticipate in meetings with founders, management teams, investment banks, and other advisors.\nSupport due diligence processes and transaction execution for potential acquisitions.\nKey Requirements\nWe are looking for driven, intellectually curious students who are eager to learn and take responsibility in a fast-paced investment environment.\nCurrently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.\nStrong interest in investing, private equity, M&A, technology, and entrepreneurship.\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.\nGenuine curiosity about businesses, industries, and what drives long-term competitive advantage.\nStrong communication skills in English.\nFamiliarity with Excel and basic financial statements.\nHigh level of ownership, initiative, and ability to work independently.\nHumility, adaptability, and willingness to learn in a collaborative, high-performance environment.\nPrevious experience in investment banking or private equity is helpful but not required.\nSolen-isms (How We Operate)\nOwnership Mindset: We own the mission.
