Our stack is Vue, TypeScript, Node.js and PostgreSQL, with services on the JVM (Scala).\nWorking with our Director of Software Engineering, you will help deliver our 2027 roadmap: connecting our products to the ERP systems our customers run (starting with SYSPRO), AI-powered document capture, and new NG and TRAC features. You will join a small, experienced team where what you build reaches customers quickly.\nKey Responsibilities\nProduct development\nBuild features across the front end (Vue, TypeScript) and back end (Node.js, Scala/JVM) for NG and SMRTR TRAC.\nDesign and work with PostgreSQL data models and queries (and some MongoDB), with attention to performance.\nFix defects and improve the reliability of the products you work on.\nIntegrations and APIs\nBuild and maintain REST APIs and integrations between NG / SMRTR TRAC and ERP systems such as SYSPRO, Microsoft Dynamics 365, VAI and NCR, following the team's integration patterns.\nContribute to AI document capture (classification and data extraction) and the print-to-NG driver.\nDelivery and collaboration\nTurn requirements from Professional Services, Sales and customers into working software, with guidance from engineering leadership.\nEstimate your own tasks and deliver to agreed dates.\nSupport go-lives and help troubleshoot production issues.\nEngineering practices\nWrite tested, reviewed and secure code in our GitHub-based workflow with CI/CD.\nWrite clear technical documentation and release notes.\nUse AI-assisted development tools to work faster, safely.\nWhat You Bring\nRequired\n3-5 years of professional software development experience.\nProduction experience with Vue.js, TypeScript and Node.js.\nPostgreSQL: schema design, SQL and query performance.\nJVM experience, preferably Scala.\nExperience building REST APIs and integrating with third-party systems.\nGit-based workflows, code review and automated testing.\nClear communication with colleagues and, when needed, customers.\nAuthorized to work in the United States or Canada; set up for remote work.\nNice to Have\nMongoDB.\nAndroid or Xamarin.\nERP integration experience (e.g., SYSPRO, Microsoft Dynamics 365, VAI, NCR).\nDocument management, OCR or AI document capture.\nExperience with manufacturing, distribution or food & beverage software.\nHow Success Is Measured\nFeatures and integrations delivered on schedule\nQuality: defects and production incidents in your code\nAccuracy of estimates on your own work\nGrowing ownership of product areas over the year\nCompensation and Benefits\nBase salary of USD 65,000-85,000 (United States) or CAD 95,000-110,000 (Canada), depending on experience and location\nBenefits according to country of employment (in the US: health, dental and vision insurance and a 401(k) with company match)\nPaid time off and company holidays\nFully remote work with a collaborative, experienced team\nRecruitment Disclaimer\nSolen Software Group will never request payment, banking information, or other sensitive personal or financial details during any stage of the recruitment process.
