This role combines firmware development, hardware validation, DevOps/CI-CD practices, automated testing, and product release management to ensure reliable and secure operation of connected devices throughout their lifecycle.\nKey Responsibilities\nEmbedded Software Development\nDevelop, maintain, and debug embedded firmware written in C.\n\nImplement drivers, communication protocols, and application-level functionality.\n\nIntegrate embedded devices with cloud platforms, mobile applications, and backend services.\n\nTroubleshoot software defects and perform root cause analysis.\n\nHardware Development & Validation\nSupport hardware design reviews and prototype evaluation.\n\nDevelop and execute hardware validation and verification test plans.\n\nPerform board bring-up, debugging, and electrical testing using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG, and other engineering tools.\n\nVerify sensor, actuator, communication, and power-management functionality.\n\nTesting & Quality Assurance\nCreate and maintain automated test frameworks for firmware, hardware, and system-level testing.\n\nDesign regression, functional, integration, and performance tests.\n\nDevelop test fixtures, simulators, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems.\n\nAnalyze test results and document findings.\n\nDevOps & Release Engineering\nImplement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for embedded firmware and supporting software.\n\nAutomate build, test, and deployment processes.\n\nManage source control, branching strategies, and release workflows.\n\nSupport over-the-air (OTA) firmware updates and software deployment processes.\n\nEnsure software quality through automated validation and security scanning.\n\nSystem Integration\nIntegrate embedded devices with cloud services, IoT platforms, APIs, and mobile applications.\n\nValidate end-to-end system functionality and performance.\n\nAssist in field issue investigations and product support activities.\n\nDocumentation & Process Improvement\nCreate technical documentation, test procedures, and release notes.\n\nMaintain design specifications and traceability documentation.\n\nContinuously improve engineering processes, automation, and product quality.\n\nWe understand that candidates will not meet every single desired qualification.
