For more information, please visit solera.com.\nThe Role:\nWe are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Processor to support end-to-end payroll operations across the US and Canada. You will focus on accurate data entry, validation, and coordination with local vendors to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time. These qualities enable the team to achieve its mission and meet its responsibilities to the people it employs by supporting their output and the achievement of business objectives.\nDuties\nEnsures the accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payroll(s) for both hourly and salaried employees in the US and Canada.\nManage the Time and Absence system for approximately 2,200 employees\nProcess garnishments, employee tax and deduction elections\nInteract with employees to resolve any questions or concerns related to payroll.\nAct as point person for employer response to internal and external audits related to employees, payroll and/or benefits (i.e., Workers’ Compensation audit, payroll SOPs, unemployment claims, etc.)\nEstablish controls and auditing practices to ensure regulatory compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations, ERISA, DOL, HIPAA, etc.\nAudit employee and employer tax data within HRIS system. Identify discrepancies and correct them prior to the quarter-end filings to ensure accuracy.\nReconcile quarterly tax returns.\nResponsible for verifying employee W-2s & corrective W-2Cs.\nWork directly with vendors as needed for troubleshooting and evaluation of system updates.\nMaintain records and calculation of fringe benefits associated with the personal use of a company vehicle.\nEstablish and maintain end-to-end reporting requests, creation, and processes to develop a best practice approach to report delivery; Completes routine and ad hoc reports.\nFollow established payroll processing guidelines, policies and procedures; periodically conduct training for Human Resources staff and Time and Absence Managers.\nCompile and analyze sensitive data to support various needs within the department or for external needs confidentially and securely.\nPrepare files for the Accounting Department: General Ledger, Headcount/Census reports, Accruals, etc.\nOther duties/projects as assigned.\nEDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE:\nBachelor’s degree and typically 3 - 6 years of direct Payroll experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.\n\nCERTIFICATIONS:\nPayroll Org certification (CPP or FPC) preferred.\nComputer Skills\nMust have proficient computer skills in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Ability to perform basic Internet research is also preferred.
