Today, Solera processes over 300 million digital transactions annually for approximately 235,000 partners and customers in more than 90 countries.\nThe Role\n\n The UK & GSA Financial Controller position has overall responsibility for the financial operations in the countries and the entities which operate within mainly the UK (UK entities, South Africa, Autodata France & Finland) and GSA (Germany, Switzerland, Austria & Luxembourg)\nReporting to the Sr. Director Controller for EMEA, Financial Controller’s responsibilities include management of a team responsible for the financial activities, management reporting as well as local statutory and tax regulatory requirements.\nThe role requires a strong leader who is highly competent, proactive and strategically focused individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to become hands-on when required. The individual should be able to cope in a fast-paced and evolving environment.\nThe Role is based in London, UK and will require quarterly travel to India and limited travel within EMEA.\nWhat You’ll Do\nReporting to EMEA Controller\nKey Responsibilities\nProactive management of an outsource team in India with daily calls to the team (the whole accounting team is based in India). Hands on management of the activities of the countries and entities within the Controller’s scope with the main objectives being;Management of all financial activities in the aforementioned region through the R2R functions\n\nDeliver global finance operations synergies whilst maintaining or improving Finance processes and reporting outputs. Specifically:Active participation in the delivery of “One Solera”Simplification and harmonization/standardization of processes and systems when and where possible.\nElimination of manual processes and automation with the introduction of scalable solutions\nImplementation of new D365 financial system\nReduction of the number of legal entities\n\nAdherence to the Solera group accounting timelines, policies, and internal controls\nOversee the adherence to, timely preparation and review/sign-off and submission for all local statutory and tax filings reporting requirements\nWorking with the External Auditors for any in-scope entities to ensure timely and accurate deliverables\nOverseeing cash management within the countries/entities in scope, including execution of intercompany or royalty payments, and/or bank relationships\nReview tax cash forecasting and ensure this is updated weekly with actuals\nManage and review quarterly management reporting packages, and Income Statement and Balance Sheet fluxes to ensure timely, accurate and good quality deliverables\nPrepare and submit monthly P&L review document (month on month variance analysis) for CAO and Group financial controller review\nValidation and approvals include but are not limited to: Journal Entries, Purchase Requisitions, Systems Accesses, Travel, Expense Reports\nReviewing balance sheet account reconciliations in the entities in scope to ensure no material financial misstatements\nMaintain or improve timeliness and quality of all internal and external financial reporting and submissions, whilst maintaining compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.\nManaging preparation and ensuring timely submission of all VAT and Corporation Tax returns across all entities. Working with tax team on any tax audits acris\nDriving remediation or corrective action of any financial activities in the entities in scope\nAd hoc accounting research and analysis as needed\n\nIntegration and provision of accounting support for new entity acquisitions\nParticipation in business or finance related projects for the countries/entities in scope\nProviding value added support to the businesses in the region\nundefinedWhat You’ll Bring · ACA/ACCA qualified· Strong technical accounting and tax skills· Preferred system experience: Dynamics AX & D365· Excel - Advanced level· Knowledge: Previously worked in similar capacity within an international organization overseeing remote teams in multiple locations . Experience working in a fast paced, dynamic environments. Knowledge of various Finance systems and Microsoft Office applications.
