The preferred candidate will be askilled chemical technician, with interest and comfort in conducting hands-on testing and experimentation. This role will work in a laboratory environment, with the primary responsibility being the efficient and accuratechemical, physical and mechanical analysis of solid-state battery electrolytes.\nJob Duties:\nFollow and document standard sample preparation testing procedures under the guidance of senior technicians and scientists. \nAssistin more specialized sample preparation and testing, both at Solid Power and in partnership with Solid Power’s contractors and partners. \nMaintain test equipment in clean and proper working conditions, and support manufacturer maintenance and repair as needed. \nAssistwith equipment calibration as needed. \nWork closely with engineering and production teams to ensure analytical testing procedures provide sufficient and timelyfeedback. \nAssistin writing SOPs, contribute to technical reports, specification setting, CTQ determination, and deliver other requested technical data as required. \nQualifications/Requirements:\nHighschool Diploma/GED or Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.\nMinimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing or analytical laboratory environment desired. \nHands-on experience working with various analytical tools, particularly BET, PSA,ICP, GC,XRD, FTIR, TGA, DSC, Karl Fischer. \nExperience in inorganic chemistry and/or method development is desirable. \nRapid learner who thrives in a fast-paced start-up environment. \nExcellent communication and organizational skills. \nComfort and competence with the responsible, safe handling of hazardous materials and equipment. \nAvailability to work a 10:00am to 6:30pm schedule Monday-Friday.\nWillingness to work weekends as needed to support business and production needs. Weekend work is not a regular or mandatory part of the schedule, but flexibility is appreciated when business needs arise.\n\nPhysical Requirements\nProlonged periods of sitting and standing. \nAbility to wear PPE including occasional respirator protection. \nAbility to work in dry room environment, gloveboxes, and chemistry lab. \nAbility to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. \nRequired to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary including, but not limited to eye protection, hair net, gloves, face mask, coveralls, full-face respirator or PAPR\nHourly Range: $26.00 - $33.00/hour \nBenefits: Solid Power offers a comprehensive benefit package that includes medical/dental/vision insurance, employer paid Life/AD&D/STD/LTD insurance, 401k with company match, paid holidays, generous PTO, up to six (6) weeks paid FMLA leave, cell phone reimbursement and eligibility to participate in our equity plan. \nExport Control Requirements: This position could require access to technology, software and other information that is subject to governmental access control restrictions, due to export controls.
